Quickstart

1. Open your inventory — the recipe is automatically unlocked when you join a world.
2. Craft the TNT Launcher at a crafting table:

1. Place it in your hotbar and right-click to fire.
2. Watch the TNT arc through the air and explode on contact. Stay well back!

Overview

The TNT Launcher is a single-item mod that adds a powerful handheld explosive weapon to the Combat creative tab. It fires a TNT projectile in a realistic arc, detonating on impact with any block or entity. Each shot is devastating, so positioning and timing matter enormously.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Right-click (use item) while holding the TNT Launcher to fire a TNT projectile.
• The projectile travels in an arc with slight gravity, so aim slightly above your target at longer ranges.
• The launcher plays a primed-TNT hiss sound on each shot.
• After firing, the launcher enters a 6-second cooldown (shown by the item's cooldown overlay). You cannot fire again until the cooldown expires.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe unlocks automatically as soon as you enter a world — no prerequisites needed.

The launcher is crafted from Iron Ingots, a TNT block, a Piston, and a Stick.

Abilities And Mechanics

On Impact

When the projectile hits any block or entity, two things happen simultaneously:

1. Direct damage — Any entity struck takes 130 hearts (260 HP) of explosion damage instantly. This is almost certainly lethal to anything in the game.
2. Area explosion — A large power-6 explosion (equivalent to a charged creeper or a bed in the Nether) is triggered at the point of impact, destroying blocks and damaging nearby entities.

Projectile Behaviour

• Travels in a gentle arc due to gravity.
• Detonates on contact with the first block or entity it touches.
• Rendered in flight as a TNT block.

Cooldown

A 6-second cooldown (120 ticks) applies after every shot. Plan your shots carefully — you only get one every six seconds.

Progression And Strategy

• Keep your distance. The power-6 explosion has a large radius. Firing at close range or at a nearby wall can easily kill you.
• Use the arc. You can lob shots over obstacles, walls, or terrain features. Practice the arc trajectory in a safe area before using it in combat.
• Make every shot count. The 6-second cooldown means you are vulnerable immediately after firing. Position yourself in cover before reloading.
• Boss and mob fights. The 130-heart direct hit will instantly eliminate virtually any mob or player. The follow-up explosion clears surrounding enemies as well, making this weapon extremely effective against clustered groups.
• Friendly fire warning. The explosion follows TNT interaction rules and will destroy blocks. Avoid using the launcher near builds you want to keep intact.
