Quickstart

1. Craft TNT 3X from three TNT blocks and one redstone dust:

1. Place the TNT 3X block where you want the explosion.
2. Ignite it with flint and steel or a fire charge, or power it with a redstone signal.
3. Move away quickly. TNT 3X explodes after a 4-second fuse with three times the blast power of vanilla TNT.

In Creative mode, find TNT 3X in the Redstone creative tab. You can also use:

• /tnt3x give — Gives yourself one TNT 3X.
• /tnt3x give <targets> <count> — Gives 1–64 TNT 3X blocks to one or more players.
• /tnt3x info — Displays a brief description of the explosive.

Overview

TNT 3X is a craftable explosive block with the same general placement and ignition style as TNT, but with a much stronger blast. Use it for large-scale excavation, demolition, traps, or controlled destruction.

What It Adds

• TNT 3X block and item
• A shapeless crafting recipe using vanilla TNT and redstone
• Flint-and-steel ignition
• Fire-charge ignition
• Redstone activation
• A four-second fuse
• A blast with power 12, three times the power of vanilla TNT

How To Use

Place TNT 3X

Hold TNT 3X and place it like any other block. It can be placed on the ground, on structures, or in a larger explosive setup.

Ignite With Flint And Steel

Use flint and steel on the placed TNT 3X. The flint and steel loses durability when used in Survival mode.

Ignite With A Fire Charge

Use a fire charge on the block to start the fuse. The fire charge is consumed in Survival mode.

Activate With Redstone

Send a redstone signal to TNT 3X. When it receives a neighboring redstone signal, it starts its fuse automatically.

During The Fuse

Once primed, TNT 3X plays the priming sound and waits four seconds before exploding. The block is removed when the explosion occurs, so clear the area and take cover before activation.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft TNT 3X with three TNT blocks and one redstone dust. The recipe is shapeless, so the ingredients can be arranged anywhere in the crafting grid.

TNT 3X is also available in the Redstone creative inventory tab or through the /tnt3x give command.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Blast power: 12, which is three times the blast power of vanilla TNT.
• Fuse duration: 80 game ticks, or 4 seconds.
• Ignition methods: flint and steel, fire charges, and redstone signals.
• Explosion behavior: the blast can destroy surrounding terrain and structures like a powerful TNT explosion.
• No fire: TNT 3X’s explosion does not create fire.
• Explosion drops: if TNT 3X is destroyed by an explosion, it drops only when it survives that explosion.

Progression And Strategy

• Use ordinary TNT for small jobs and reserve TNT 3X for deep excavation or major demolition.
• Place TNT 3X away from valuable builds before testing its blast strength.
• Use redstone to create safer remote triggers and avoid standing beside the block when it activates.
• Build blast chambers or test areas from materials you are willing to lose.
• Because each block requires three TNT, gather plenty of gunpowder and sand before planning a large demolition project.
