Quickstart

1. Obtain four Oak Logs.
2. Craft Timber Logs using the 2×2 recipe:

1. Select Timber Log in your hotbar and place it against a block face.
   • Click the top or bottom face to place it vertically.
   • Click a side face to place it horizontally along that direction.
2. Try mixing the three orientations to create beams, supports, posts, and decorative framing.

In Creative mode, Timber Log is available in the Building Blocks tab. You can also obtain it with:

/give @s timber-log-qd2rskxk:timber_log_qd2rskxk

Overview

Timber Log is a wooden building block designed for flexible structural detailing. Each block can be placed along one of three axes, allowing you to create vertical posts and horizontal beams without needing separate block variants.

What It Adds

• Timber Log block and inventory item
• Vertical, horizontal, and sideways placement
• A stack size of 64
• Wooden log behavior, including axe mining and flammability
• Creative inventory access in the Building Blocks tab

How To Use

Hold Timber Log and use it on the face of an existing block.

The face you click controls the Timber Log's orientation:

Use different orientations together for:

• Building frames and trim
• Roof supports
• Floor and ceiling beams
• Pillars and posts
• Rustic structures and timber-frame walls

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft four Timber Logs from four Oak Logs arranged in a 2×2 square. The recipe produces four Timber Logs:

Timber Log can also be obtained from the Creative inventory or with the /give command shown in the Quickstart section.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Timber Log is a full placeable block rather than a decorative inventory-only item.
• Its orientation is determined by the face targeted during placement.
• It behaves as a log for Minecraft log categories and can be mined with an axe.
• It is a wooden, burnable block.
• Timber Logs stack up to 64 items.

Progression And Strategy

Start with a small supply of Oak Logs, craft Timber Logs, and experiment with placement on temporary blocks before incorporating them into a finished build. Plan the direction of each beam before placing it, since the targeted face determines its axis.

For large structures, place vertical Timber Logs first as supports, then add horizontal logs between them. Combining the two horizontal orientations makes it easier to frame rooms, roofs, bridges, and other detailed wooden builds.
