The Forgotten Signal

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, find the Forgotten Relic in the Ingredients tab and the Forgotten Pedestal in the Functional Blocks tab. Or, with commands enabled, get them using:
   • /give @s the-forgotten-signal-pmr3y4hg:forgotten_relic
   • /give @s the-forgotten-signal-pmr3y4hg:forgotten_pedestal
2. Place the pedestal and right-click it while carrying the relic in your inventory or holding it. Listen for the response.
3. Right-click the relic to hear its call.
4. To build a small ruin with a pedestal, run /forgotten_signal ruins as an operator (permission level 2). The command reports the ruin’s coordinates.

There are no crafting recipes for the relic or pedestal.

Overview

The mod centers on a relic, a stone pedestal, and a compact forgotten ruin. The relic and pedestal respond to player interaction with cryptic messages and a distant echo.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Relic: Right-click while holding it. The relic stays in your inventory.
• Pedestal without a relic: Right-click to receive the message “An empty socket waits in the stone.”
• Pedestal with a relic: Right-click while the relic is in either hand or your inventory. You’ll hear “I knew you would return,” accompanied by a distant echo. The relic is not consumed.

Crafting And Obtaining

The mod provides no crafting recipe for either item. Use the Creative inventory or the /give commands in Quickstart to obtain them. Operators can create a pedestal in the ruin with /forgotten_signal ruins.

Abilities And Mechanics

The pedestal checks whether you are carrying the relic; you do not need to place the relic into the block. Its response depends on whether the relic is with you when you interact.

Progression And Strategy

Try the relic’s right-click response first, then bring it to the ruin’s central pedestal and interact with it. The messages and echo are the mod’s main clues; no further objective or progression steps are specified.
