Description:

The Devils Feast is a single, powerful food item that doubles as a combat enhancer. Eating it restores a significant amount of hunger and triggers a 20-minute buff that turns your bare fists into a near-instant killing machine. The trade-off is that you must fight completely empty-handed — the moment you hold any item in your main hand, the bonus damage does not apply.
| Item | Type | Stack Size |
|---|---|---|
| The Devils Feast | Food / Combat Buff | 64 |
Right-click and hold to eat The Devils Feast just like any vanilla food. The eating animation plays for roughly 2 seconds before the food is consumed and the buff activates.
Once eaten, a 20-minute combat buff is applied to you. During this window, every punch you land on a living creature while your main hand is completely empty deals +100 extra damage on top of your normal unarmed damage. This is enough to one-shot nearly any mob in the game.
The bonus damage is strictly tied to an empty main hand. If you are holding a sword, tool, block, or any other item in your main hand when you attack, the bonus will not trigger — even if the buff is still active. Offhand items do not affect the bonus.
Tips:
The Devils Feast is found in the Food and Drinks creative tab and can be crafted in a standard crafting table. The recipe uses high-tier materials, reflecting the item's tremendous power.
The ingredients — Nether Star, Netherite Block, Redstone Blocks, Blaze Powder, and Arrows — mean this item is a late-game luxury, suited for players who have already conquered the Nether and defeated the Wither.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Hunger Restored | 8 hunger points (4 drumsticks) |
| Saturation | Very high (1.2× modifier) |
| Buff Duration | 20 minutes |
| Bonus Damage | +100 per hit |
| Condition | Main hand must be empty |
| Valid Targets | All living creatures |
The buff tracks you by your player identity, so it persists through death, dimension travel, and re-logging (within the same server session). The timer only resets if you eat another Devils Feast, which restarts the full 20-minute window.
When to use it: The Devils Feast is a late-game item gated behind Wither kills (Nether Star) and Netherite. Save it for situations where you need overwhelming, instant combat power — boss fights, raids, or clearing large dungeons.
Maximising the buff:
Resource cost reminder: Crafting one Devils Feast costs a Nether Star and a Netherite Block, so each item represents a significant investment. Eat carefully and make the 20 minutes count.
