Quickstart

1. Craft The Burner using the recipe below and grab it from the Tools and Utilities creative tab.
2. Hold it in your hand and right-click to instantly ignite every exposed surface within a 5-block radius around you.
3. Stand back — flames erupt all at once, so make sure you're not standing somewhere you'd regret burning!

Overview

The Burner is a single-use area fire-starter that trades the precision of a Flint and Steel for raw, explosive coverage. One right-click sets the ground (and anything on it) ablaze in a wide circle, making it ideal for clearing terrain, ambushing mobs, or spectacularly destroying things you probably shouldn't.

How To Use

• Right-click while holding The Burner to trigger an area ignition.
• Fire is placed on every exposed solid surface within a 5-block horizontal radius and a vertical range of roughly 1 block below to 2 blocks above you.
• After each use, a 2-second cooldown is applied before you can fire again — the item will grey out in your hotbar during this time.
• Each use consumes 1 durability. The Burner will break after 128 uses.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Area ignition: Flames are placed simultaneously on all qualifying air blocks that sit directly above a solid surface within the radius — not just in front of you, but all around you in every direction.
• No discrimination: The Burner ignites everything it can reach — mobs, forests, builds, and you. Fire behaves exactly as vanilla fire does once placed, so it will spread and destroy flammable blocks naturally.
• Cooldown: The 2-second cooldown prevents rapid repeated use. Plan your timing carefully in combat or when clearing large areas.
• Durability: With 128 uses, The Burner is a mid-to-long-term tool, but it is not repairable in an anvil by default — use it wisely.

Progression And Strategy

• Mob farming: Surround yourself with mobs and trigger The Burner to ignite them all at once. Combine with a water bucket nearby for a quick escape.
• Land clearing: Quickly burn away forests or overgrowth by standing in the center of the area you want cleared.
• Defense: Place yourself at a chokepoint and ignite the ground around you to create a fire barrier against approaching mobs.
• Caution: Always have a water bucket or fire resistance potion on hand. The flames appear around you, so positioning is everything. Using it indoors or near your base can be catastrophic.
