Quickstart
- Explore new terrain until you find a Technoblade Village biome — look for grass-covered ground dotted with royal monuments and guarded structures.
- Find and speak to a Technoblade Villager wandering the village, or seek out an Iron Technoblade Guard patrolling nearby.
- Defeat an Iron Technoblade Guard to collect Technoblade Coins, the village's currency.
- Hold a Technoblade Coin and use it to open the Royal Exchange trade menu.
- Spend your coins on legendary gear: the Technoblade Sword, Pickaxe, Bow, or a Royal Boat.
- Equip your new gear, or place your Royal Boat on water and hop in to sail around in style.
Overview
Technoblade Legacy adds a themed village biome inspired by the legendary Technoblade, complete with its own villagers, armed guards, royal currency, and unique equipment. Instead of ordinary villages, players can discover Technoblade Villages populated by peaceful NPC villagers and vigilant armored guards who protect the settlement. Defeating guards and trading with the village economy is the primary way to earn powerful custom gear.
What It Adds
- Technoblade Village biome — a distinct settlement type that spawns its own unique inhabitants.
- Technoblade Villager — a peaceful, animal-like NPC that populates the village. It comes in dozens of visual variants (scientists, teachers, farmers, builders, and more), so no two villages look quite the same.
- Iron Technoblade Guard — an armored, sword-wielding defender based on vindicator-style behavior. Guards patrol the village, target hostile threats and monsters, and will aggressively fight back if attacked. They can also form squads with captains and followers, similar to raid patrols.
- Technoblade Coin — a currency item dropped by guards, used to purchase gear from the Royal Exchange.
- Royal Exchange — an in-game trade menu accessed by using a Technoblade Coin, letting you spend coins on exclusive equipment.
- Technoblade Armor Set — Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots offering solid protection and full enchantability.
- Technoblade Sword and Technoblade Pickaxe — high-durability tools with strong damage and mining power.
- Technoblade Bow — a durable bow with a custom draw feel (slower movement while aiming).
- Technoblade Boat — a rideable custom boat, placed in the world using a special Boat Placer item.
How To Use
Finding the village: Explore the world to naturally encounter Technoblade Village terrain. Guards spawn in the dark (low light) on grass within the village, in small groups of one or two. Villagers spawn in larger groups of two to four during the day.
Fighting guards: Iron Technoblade Guards behave like aggressive vindicators — they'll hunt down players, iron golems, snow golems, wandering traders, and adult villagers within range. They can break down doors and will fight relentlessly once provoked. Defeating one has a chance to drop iron axes and always has a chance to drop Technoblade Coins.
Trading: Once you have coins, simply use (right-click) the Technoblade Coin item in your hand to open the Royal Exchange menu. From there, choose a reward:
- Sword — 12 Coins
- Pickaxe — 10 Coins
- Bow — 8 Coins
- Royal Boat — 16 Coins
The cost is deducted automatically from your coin stack, and the reward is placed directly into your inventory.
Using the Royal Boat: The Royal Boat is obtained as a placer item. Use it on water (or ground) to summon the boat entity, then interact with it to climb in and ride it around.
Crafting And Obtaining
All Technoblade Legacy equipment and the Royal Boat are obtained exclusively through the Royal Exchange trade menu — there are no crafting recipes for these items. To gain access to the exchange, you must first collect Technoblade Coins by defeating Iron Technoblade Guards found in Technoblade Villages.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Royal Exchange (Trade Menu): Triggered by using a Technoblade Coin. Presents a list of purchasable rewards and automatically checks your coin total before completing a trade. If you don't have enough coins, you'll be notified and no items will be removed.
- Guard AI: Iron Technoblade Guards actively hunt threats, break doors, and can be organized into raid-like squads with a captain and followers who defend the village together.
- Villager Variety: Technoblade Villagers cycle through many profession-themed appearances (scientist, teacher, farmer, construction, apiary, and generic villagers), adding visual variety without affecting gameplay.
- Boat Riding: The Technoblade Boat supports one rider and can be steered while floating or driven across land and water.
Progression And Strategy
Your path through Technoblade Legacy centers on the coin economy: locate a village, survive encounters with its guards, and accumulate Technoblade Coins from combat drops. Prioritize defeating guards in groups carefully, since they fight fiercely and can call in reinforcements through squad behavior. Once you've built up a coin stockpile, decide whether to invest in combat gear (Sword, Bow), utility (Pickaxe), or mobility (Royal Boat) based on your playstyle. Armor pieces round out a full Technoblade-themed loadout, offering solid all-around protection for continued village raiding or general survival.
