Quickstart

1. Find the Sulfur Caves biome. With commands enabled, locate it using /locate biome sulfurbeat-caves-p5awjpq3:sulfur_caves.
2. Bring a pickaxe: Sulfur Ore drops Sulfur Clumps, while Potent Sulfur Ore drops Potent Sulfur Crystals and needs an iron-tier pickaxe or better for drops.
3. Explore the chambers and collect Sulfurstone and other building blocks. Use the recipes below to make stairs, slabs, walls, and decorative cuts.
4. In Creative, use a Sulfur Cube Spawn Egg to spawn a cube. To transport one, right-click it with an empty bucket; use the filled bucket on a block or in the air to release it.
5. Play the Music Disc (Bounce) in a jukebox.

Overview

Sulfurbeat Caves gives you a new underground biome to explore, sulfur-themed blocks for building, Sulfur Cubes to handle and transport, and the Bounce music disc.

What It Adds

• Sulfur Caves: underground chambers lined with Sulfurstone, with Sulfur Spikes and chiseled sulfur landmarks.
• Ores and materials: Sulfur Ore, Potent Sulfur Ore, Sulfur Clumps, and Potent Sulfur Crystals.
• Building blocks: Sulfurstone, Sulfur, Polished Sulfur, Sulfur Bricks, and several Cinnabar finishes, with stairs, slabs, or walls for many of the sets.
• Sulfur Cube: a mob with a spawn egg and a transport bucket.
• Music Disc (Bounce): a disc for playing the track Bounce in a jukebox.

How To Use

Explore and mine

Look for Sulfur Caves and follow their chambers and distinctive Sulfur Spikes. Mine Sulfur Ore with a pickaxe for Sulfur Clumps. Potent Sulfur Ore requires an iron-tier pickaxe or better to drop its Potent Sulfur Crystal.

Handle Sulfur Cubes

Use the spawn egg on the ground to spawn a Sulfur Cube. To catch one, right-click it with a regular empty bucket. Right-click with the filled bucket to release the cube in front of you, or use it on a block to release it beside that block. Releasing the cube uses up the filled bucket and leaves a regular bucket; in Creative, the filled bucket is not consumed.

Play the disc

Put the Music Disc (Bounce) into a jukebox to play Bounce.

Use a stonecutter for the stonecutting options below. The other listed block recipes use a crafting table.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Sulfur Cube transport: an empty bucket captures a living Sulfur Cube. The filled bucket lets you carry and release it elsewhere.
• Mining requirements: Potent Sulfur Ore requires an iron-tier pickaxe or better for drops. Sulfur Ore also requires a pickaxe for drops.
• Stonecutting: Cinnabar can be cut into Chiseled Cinnabar, Polished Cinnabar, or Cinnabar Bricks. Sulfurstone can be cut into Chiseled Sulfurstone or Sulfur Bricks.

Progression And Strategy

Start with a pickaxe, and bring an iron-tier pickaxe or better if you want Potent Sulfur Crystals. Collect Sulfurstone and Cinnabar for stonecutting and use their matching stairs, slabs, and walls to carry the cave’s palette into your builds. Keep an empty bucket handy if you want to bring a Sulfur Cube along.
