Sulfur Crystal Blade

Quickstart

1. Get some Sulfur Crystals — the core crafting ingredient for this mod.
2. Combine Sulfur Crystals with sticks at a crafting table to make the Sulfur Crystal Blade, Sulfur Dagger, or any of the sulfur tools.
3. Equip a Sulfur Crystal Blade, Sulfur Dagger, or Sulfur Spear and attack a mob — it will burst into flame on hit.
4. Use the Sulfur Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, and Hoe just like their vanilla counterparts for mining, chopping, digging, and farming.

Overview

Sulfur Crystal Blade adds a full set of fiery, crystal-forged equipment built around the glowing Sulfur Crystal. Craft it into weapons that set enemies ablaze on contact, or into practical tools for mining and gathering. The signature item is the swift Sulfur Dagger, a fast-swinging weapon that ignites anything it strikes.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Sulfur Crystals don't drop from mobs or blocks in the world — obtain them and stack them up (they stack to 64) before heading to a crafting table.
• All sulfur equipment behaves like its vanilla counterpart for movement speed, mining, and durability, with the sword-type weapons (Blade, Dagger, Spear) carrying an added fire effect.
• When a sulfur weapon lands a hit on a mob or player, the target catches fire for a few seconds and a spark sound plays. The attacker also sees a brief on-screen message confirming the ignition.
• Sulfur tools can be enchanted at an enchanting table just like their vanilla equivalents (swords accept sword enchantments, the pickaxe accepts pickaxe enchantments, etc.).
• All sulfur equipment eventually wears down with use and can be repaired at an anvil using more Sulfur Crystals or matching sulfur tools/weapons, the same way vanilla gear is repaired.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Sulfur Burn: The Sulfur Crystal Blade, Sulfur Dagger, and Sulfur Spear all carry a burning effect — any creature or player struck by these weapons is set on fire for several seconds.
• The burning effect triggers a sound cue and an action bar message ("Sulfur flame ignited!") for the attacker, giving instant feedback that the hit landed and the target is burning.
• Fire damage continues to tick after the initial hit, making these weapons effective for finishing off fleeing or regenerating enemies.

Progression And Strategy

• Start by gathering enough Sulfur Crystals to craft the Sulfur Dagger — it's cheap, fast, and immediately gives you access to the fire-on-hit mechanic.
• Move up to the Sulfur Crystal Blade or Sulfur Spear for higher base damage while keeping the burn effect for sustained fights against tougher mobs.
• Craft the utility tools (Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hoe) to keep a full sulfur-themed toolkit for mining and building without switching back to other materials.
• Since the burn effect applies to any target hit, sulfur weapons are especially useful against mobs with high health pools or groups of enemies, where the extra fire damage adds up over time.
