Sulfur Block Eater adds a large sulfur-colored slime that searches for dropped block items and devours them. It is useful for creating cleanup creatures, testing item drops, or building contraptions and arenas centered around disappearing blocks.
The mob is about two blocks wide and tall. It can spawn naturally under slime-style ground spawning rules, or it can be placed wherever you want with its spawn egg.

Drop block items on the ground near the Sulfur Block Eater. It detects dropped items within roughly 12 blocks and chooses the closest eligible item.
When the target is more than about 1.5 blocks away, it moves toward it. Once close enough, it consumes one item from the dropped stack.
Eligible items include block items such as:
It does not consume ordinary dropped items that are not block items, such as tools, food, or ingots.
The Sulfur Block Eater waits briefly after eating before consuming another item. A large stack therefore disappears gradually rather than all at once.
To make it eat faster overall, place several block-item drops around it so it can move from one nearby target to the next. To keep a block item safe, place it outside the mob’s search range or use a non-block item instead.
The spawn egg is available in the Spawn Eggs Creative inventory. The mod does not provide a crafting recipe for the Sulfur Block Eater or its spawn egg.
The mob may also appear naturally through slime-style ground spawning rules.
The Sulfur Block Eater has no crafting or upgrade progression. Its gameplay is based on positioning and managing dropped blocks.
For simple experiments, spawn one in an open area and throw different items nearby to see which ones it recognizes. For a cleanup setup, place the mob near a controlled drop point and feed it unwanted block items. Keep valuable blocks away from the area, since the creature automatically prioritizes the closest eligible drop.
