Stormfire Steve
Quickstart
- Wait or summon — Evil Steve spawns automatically near a random player every 7 in-game days. A chat message announces his arrival. To fight him immediately, use the Evil Steve Spawn Egg from your inventory (Creative mode) or run
/summon com_stormfire_steve_nrabwncs:stormfire_steve.
- Gear up first — Grab a diamond sword or netherite sword enchanted with Sharpness V. Without it, every hit you land is negated and you'll see a resistance message on your action bar.
- Watch the action bar — Evil Steve telegraphs every elemental attack with an on-screen message. React quickly to avoid being destroyed.
- Defeat him — Keep swinging with your Sharpness V sword. Each qualifying hit deals a massive burst of bonus damage. Collect your 12 Nether Stars, 12 Diamonds, and 12 Iron Ingots from the loot drop.
Overview
Stormfire Steve introduces Evil Steve, a corrupted elemental boss that stalks your world indefinitely. With 1,100,000 HP and a rotating set of devastating attacks, he is one of the most challenging threats you can face. He naturally returns every seven in-game days, meaning players must be prepared at all times — or hunt him down on purpose.

Abilities And Mechanics
Evil Steve cycles through four elemental powers, targeting players within 28 blocks. Each attack is announced on the action bar.
| Attack | Effect | Action Bar Message |
|---|
| ⚡ Lightning | Strikes your location with a lightning bolt; deals 6× damage | "Evil Steve lightning attack: 6x damage!" |
| 🔥 Fire | Sets you on fire for 6 seconds; deals 12× damage | "Evil Steve fire attack: 12x damage!" |
| 🌍 Earth | Ground slam that slows you | Action bar notification displayed |
| 🌪️ Tornado | Knocks you back and briefly levitates you | Action bar notification displayed |
In addition to elemental attacks, Evil Steve deals 8 melee damage per hit and can break doors, climb, and pursue you through water.
Damage Resistance
Evil Steve is nearly immune to all damage sources except one:
- Required weapon: A diamond sword or netherite sword with Sharpness V (held in your active hotbar slot).
- Each qualifying hit removes a large chunk of health.
- Any other hit — from other weapons, tools, or enchantments — is fully cancelled. You will see: "Evil Steve resists that hit. Use a Sharpness V diamond sword or better!"
Progression And Strategy
Preparation
- Enchant a diamond or netherite sword with Sharpness V before the 7-day timer elapses.
- Wear the best armor available (full netherite recommended).
- Bring fire resistance potions to counter the fire attack.
- Stock slow falling potions or use an Elytra to manage the tornado knockback.
Combat Tips
- Watch the action bar constantly. Each elemental attack is announced a moment before it lands — move or use a potion immediately.
- Keep moving. Standing still makes you an easy target for lightning and fire attacks.
- Bring teammates. Multiple players can all deal damage simultaneously if each holds a Sharpness V diamond or netherite sword.
- Do not waste hits. Attacking with the wrong weapon only alerts Evil Steve without dealing damage.
- Golems and villagers are also targeted. Iron Golems and Snow Golems in the area may draw some aggro, but Evil Steve will re-target players quickly.
Reward
Defeating Evil Steve drops the following guaranteed loot:
| Item | Quantity |
|---|
| Nether Star | 12 |
| Diamond | 12 |
| Iron Ingot | 12 |
Evil Steve also awards 250 XP when killed by a player.
Respawn Cycle
Evil Steve respawns near a random player every 7 in-game days. There is no way to permanently stop him — prepare for a new encounter roughly once a week of in-game time.
