Stormcaller Trident

Quickstart

1. Obtain the Stormcaller Trident by crafting it or using:

   /give @s stormcaller-trident-rnm5hzxm:stormcaller_trident_rnm5hzxm
   

2. Hold it in your main hand or off-hand.
3. Aim at a location and use the item. Lightning strikes the first solid block in your line of sight, up to 32 blocks away.
4. Wait 2 seconds between strikes while its cooldown expires.

Overview

The Stormcaller Trident is a single-use-per-stack combat item that summons a lightning bolt wherever you aim. It uses the vanilla item renderer and can be found in the Combat creative inventory.

Each trident occupies one inventory slot and cannot be stacked.

What It Adds

• Stormcaller Trident — A mythical trident that calls down lightning.
• Targeted lightning strikes with a range of up to 32 blocks.
• Eligibility for enchantments that apply to tridents.

How To Use

Hold the Stormcaller Trident and use it, usually by right-clicking.

• The strike follows your line of sight.
• The first solid block in the path is targeted.
• Fluids do not block the aim path.
• If no block is hit within range, the lightning is summoned at the end of the 32-block aim line.
• The trident has a 40-tick cooldown, equal to 2 seconds.
• The item does not need to be thrown; using it directly calls the lightning strike.

Be careful when using it near flammable builds, animals, villagers, or other players, since the summoned bolt is a normal lightning entity.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe becomes available automatically after entering a world. Craft the Stormcaller Trident with one diamond, two nautilus shells, one vanilla trident, and one lightning rod:

You can also obtain it from the Combat tab in Creative mode or use its item ID with /give.

Abilities And Mechanics

Lightning Calling

Using the trident creates a lightning bolt at the targeted position. The strike is created server-side, so its effects are visible to players in the world and can interact with nearby entities and terrain according to normal Minecraft lightning behavior.

Enchanting

The Stormcaller Trident is recognized as a trident for enchantment purposes. Apply compatible trident enchantments through normal enchanting methods, an anvil, or commands.

Progression And Strategy

• Craft the trident after obtaining a vanilla trident, then use it as a ranged lightning-calling tool.
• Aim at solid ground near a target when you want a predictable strike location.
• Keep at least two seconds between uses.
• Use open areas for safer targeting and avoid striking near wooden structures or other flammable materials.
• Carry only one per slot, so plan your inventory space when bringing several Stormcaller Tridents.
