Description
A blocky humanoid 'Stone Mech Sentinel' statue built primarily from grey concrete. The statue resembles an armored mech: broad plated torso, segmented limbs with articulated joints, squat neck and helmet-like head with recessed glowing eyes (sea lanterns or glowstone). Detail accents use darker and lighter greys (light gray concrete, polished andesite) plus iron bars, slabs, and stairs for vents, paneling and antennae. The mech stands on a raised square stone-brick pedestal with a stepped base, presenting an imposing, symmetrical guardian pose about 20–30 blocks tall.

Stone Mech Sentinel
Quickstart
- Open your Creative inventory and find the Structure Wand.
- Hold the Structure Wand and right-click in the direction you want to build.
- A projectile flies out and, when it hits a surface, the Stone Mech Sentinel assembles itself at that location with a particle and sound effect.
- Stand back — the mech is 20–30 blocks tall!
You can also use the client command /structure build stone_mech_sentinel while standing where you want the base to appear.
Overview
Stone Mech Sentinel adds a single massive decorative structure: a towering humanoid mech statue built from grey concrete and stone, standing on a raised pedestal. It is placed entirely through in-game tools — no world editing required. The structure assembles itself with a cinematic summoning animation, making it as dramatic to place as it is impressive to look at.
What It Adds
| Item / Block | Description |
|---|---|
| Structure Wand | A wand item that launches a projectile to place the mech statue. Found in the Creative inventory. |
| Colored Voxel | A special block used internally to build the statue's detailed, tinted surfaces. |
How To Use
Structure Wand
Equip the Structure Wand from your inventory (it appears in the Creative tab). Right-click to throw a glowing projectile. The projectile travels in the direction you are looking and triggers on the first surface it hits.
- On impact, you hear a chime, witch-magic particles burst outward, and the mech begins assembling block by block from a swirling animation.
- The wand has a 3-second cooldown after each use.
- The statue automatically scales to fit comfortably (up to 128 blocks in its largest dimension), so it will not exceed a manageable size even in tight spaces.
- The mech always faces the same direction you were facing when you fired.
/structure Commands
Two client-side commands give extra control:
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/structure list | Lists all available structures with their dimensions and block counts. |
/structure build <name> [size] | Places the named structure at your feet. The optional size parameter (16–256) lets you set a target maximum dimension in blocks. |
Use /structure build stone_mech_sentinel to place the mech directly at your position without needing the wand.
Abilities And Mechanics
Summoning Animation
When the mech is triggered, a short animated sequence plays before the final structure locks into place:
- Colored block-display entities swirl in from a radius around the origin point.
- Enchantment-style particles spiral inward for several seconds.
- Once the animation completes, the actual blocks are placed permanently in the world.
Colored Voxels
The statue is constructed from Colored Voxel blocks — a custom block type that stores an exact RGB color value. This allows the mech to display subtle gradients and shading (darker panel insets, lighter highlights, glowing eye sockets) that plain concrete alone could not achieve. These blocks behave like normal stone-strength blocks and cannot be broken easily by hand.
Orientation
The mech always faces the direction you were looking when you used the wand or ran the build command. Fire from different angles to face the sentinel toward a base entrance, down a valley, or across a plaza.
Progression And Strategy
- Decoration and bases: The sentinel makes an imposing gatehouse guardian or monument centrepiece for large survival or creative builds.
- Singleplayer and multiplayer: The wand works in both modes. In multiplayer, the server handles placement and all nearby players see the summoning animation simultaneously.
- Sizing: Use the
/structure build stone_mech_sentinel <size>command if you need a smaller version for tighter spaces — values between 16 and 256 are accepted. - Placement tip: Make sure there is open vertical space of at least 30 blocks above your target surface before summoning, or the mech's upper body will be cut off by terrain.
