Description:
Steelguard Armor is a complete four-piece iron-tier armor set built around a high-risk, high-reward philosophy. Every piece is visually distinct with a permanent enchantment glint, even without any enchantments applied. The set trades a guaranteed damage bleed-through on every hit for a powerful full-set bonus that makes you completely immune to fire and lava.

Note: Steelguard Armor pieces cannot be repaired using a standard repair material — there is no repair ingredient for this set.
No matter how powerful your armor or how weak the attack, 5 damage always bypasses your armor whenever you are hit. This penalty scales with how many pieces you are wearing — each piece contributes 1.25 unblocked damage — so even a single piece worn causes some bleed-through. Wearing the full set results in the maximum 5 damage passing through on every hit, regardless of the original hit's strength.
When all four pieces are equipped simultaneously, you gain a permanent Fire Resistance effect. This makes you completely immune to fire, lava, and flame-based damage. The effect is continuously refreshed as long as the full set is worn and requires no potions or other items to maintain.
Every piece of Steelguard Armor always displays an enchantment glint in your inventory and on your character, whether or not any enchantments are actually applied.

Who should use this set?
Steelguard Armor is best suited for players who routinely face fire-based threats — the Nether, bastion remnants, blaze farms, or the End — where Fire Resistance is normally consumed through potions. The set eliminates that potion cost entirely.
Managing the drawback:
The 5 damage bleed-through is constant and unavoidable while wearing the set. Keep your health pool topped up and consider pairing the armor with healing sources (Regeneration beacons, golden apples, or Absorption effects) to offset the guaranteed chip damage on every hit.
Mixing pieces:
Wearing fewer than four pieces reduces the Fire Resistance bonus (you lose it entirely) but also reduces the bleed-through penalty — each missing piece saves you 1.25 unblocked damage per hit. However, the set is generally most powerful when worn complete, since the Fire Resistance bonus outweighs the partial bleed-through savings in most fire-heavy environments.
