Quickstart
- In Creative mode, find the Skykeeper Spawn Egg and use it to spawn the mob. With cheats enabled, you can also use
/summon com_skykeeper_v742xhbi:mycustom. - Treat an unmounted Skykeeper as hostile: it can target nearby players and call down lightning.
- To turn it into a flying mount, hold a Wind Charge and interact with it. Interact again to mount, then steer using your usual mount controls while holding a Carrot on a Stick or Wind Charge.
Overview
The Skykeeper is a large, cloud-white flying boss. It normally roams the sky and attacks players it can see. Feeding it a Wind Charge changes it into a rideable flyer.

How To Use
- Find one naturally: Skykeepers can spawn in ocean biomes between Y=96 and Y=200 in bright conditions.
- Make it rideable: Interact with an unmounted Skykeeper while holding a Wind Charge. This changes it from a hostile mob into a rideable flyer.
- Mount and steer: Interact with the rideable Skykeeper to take its single seat. Use your normal movement and mount controls; a Carrot on a Stick or Wind Charge can be used to control it.
- Spawn one directly: With cheats enabled, use
/summon com_skykeeper_v742xhbi:mycustom.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Thunder strike: The hostile Skykeeper targets visible players within about 48 blocks and periodically calls lightning down on them.
- Weather call: While hostile, it periodically brings on a thunderstorm.
- Recovery: While hostile, it periodically restores 8 health.
- Boss presence: Its boss health is 80, and it can darken the sky nearby.
- Mount conversion: Feeding it a Wind Charge replaces its hostile behavior with rideable flight.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Skykeeper has no crafting recipe. Obtain it with its Creative spawn egg, use the summon command, or look for one high above an ocean biome.
Defeated Skykeepers may drop cod, feathers, or a prismarine shard. Player kills also have a chance to drop Wind Charges and gold nuggets; Looting can improve the extra-drop chances.
Progression And Strategy
Keep distance and break line of sight to avoid its lightning strikes. If you want to ride one, bring a Wind Charge and approach carefully: it is hostile until you feed it. Once converted, mount it and use a Carrot on a Stick or Wind Charge to guide your flight.
