- Hold the Relic and use it (right-click / long-press) to activate a search.
- Watch the action bar and listen for ambient sounds — a glowing entity will manifest near you within moments!
Overview
The Searchbound Relic is a rare magical item shaped like a sword, etched with glowing runes and shimmering in sapphire and amethyst hues. When activated, it reaches into a hidden archive and conjures a living manifestation of whatever it finds — summoning real in-game entities accompanied by light, sound, and particle spectacle. Every use is a surprise: the Relic picks a result at random, so no two searches feel exactly the same.
What It Adds
- Searchbound Relic — a single rare, enchantable item that acts as a magical summoner. It has its own glint effect, fits the Equipment tab in your inventory, and holds up to 250 durability. It stacks to 1 and has a 3-second cooldown between activations.
How To Use
- Hold the Searchbound Relic in your hand.
- Activate it (use/right-click). The Relic slows your movement slightly while it charges (spear-style animation).
- The action bar displays the current "search query" being processed.
- A short theatrical sequence plays:
- ✦ Enchanting-table particles and an orb chime signal the search beginning.
- A lightning bolt and portal particles mark the spawn point.
- A level-up sound and heart particles confirm the entity has arrived.
- A chat message tells you exactly which entity was summoned and from which query.
- Some summons also grant you a bonus effect — for example, summoning a Rabbit gives you a brief Jump Boost.
If the Relic is still refreshing from a previous use, the action bar shows the remaining cooldown in seconds. Each activation uses between 25 % and 50 % of one durability point.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Searchbound Relic is crafted at a standard Crafting Table. Unlock hints appear once you have an Eye of Ender, a Book, or a Blaze Rod in your inventory.

Progression And Strategy
- Early use: The Relic requires Eyes of Ender and a Blaze Rod, placing it in mid-game after visiting the Nether. Plan to gather these before your first craft.
- Sustaining the Relic: Keep Amethyst Shards on hand for quick field repairs, or invest in a Mending enchantment so experience orbs keep it going indefinitely.
- Maximize value: The summons are random, so use the Relic repeatedly to cycle through different entities and their bonus effects. Each triggered effect (like Jump Boost from a Rabbit) can provide situational advantages in exploration or combat.
- Safety filters: The Relic only conjures game-safe entities. If a result cannot be safely spawned, the action bar will say so and no durability is wasted on the effect — try again immediately.
