Quickstart

1. Collect Sand, Gravel, and a Stick from the world.
2. Open a Crafting Table and craft the Sandy Gravel Sword:

1. Place the sword in your hotbar, select it, and start attacking mobs.
2. To trigger the critical hit bonus, jump and strike an enemy while falling — just like vanilla critical hits, but more powerful.

Overview

Sandy Gravel Blade adds a single powerful weapon — the Sandy Gravel Sword — themed around sand and gravel. It is unbreakable, hits harder than any vanilla sword, doubles your damage on falling critical hits, and passively grants a Looting I effect on every kill.

Abilities And Mechanics

High Base Damage

The Sandy Gravel Sword deals 13 damage per hit — roughly 1.9× the damage of a Netherite Sword. It works like any standard sword and can be enchanted in the sword enchantment slot.

Falling Critical Hits (Double Damage)

When you attack while airborne and falling (not swimming or climbing), the sword deals a second hit equal to the first — effectively doubling total damage on that strike. This works the same way vanilla critical hits are triggered: jump, then swing on the way down.

Both the normal hit and the bonus critical hit register separately, so enemies take the full brunt of both.

Built-in Looting I

Every mob killed with the Sandy Gravel Sword has a chance to drop bonus loot, equivalent to the Looting I enchantment. This applies to both hostile mobs and passive animals. The effect is automatic — no enchanting required.

Unbreakable

The Sandy Gravel Sword has no durability — it will never wear out or break, no matter how much you use it.

Crafting And Obtaining

The sword is crafted at a Crafting Table using Sand, Gravel, and a Stick. The recipe unlocks automatically once you have any of the three ingredients.

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: Sand and Gravel are easy to find near deserts, beaches, and rivers, and Sticks come from any wood. You can craft this sword very early with minimal resource investment.
• Maximize damage: Always jump before attacking to trigger the falling critical bonus. This doubles your effective damage, making short work of even tough enemies.
• Farming: The built-in Looting I means every combat session yields more resources — especially valuable for rare drops like Ender Pearls and Blaze Rods.
• No upkeep: Because the sword is unbreakable, it is a permanent tool. There is no need to repair or replace it, freeing up experience and materials for other upgrades.
• Enchanting: The sword can be enchanted like any sword, letting you stack additional enchantments (such as Sharpness, Fire Aspect, or Knockback) on top of its built-in abilities.
