Quickstart

1. Enter /togglehorse in chat to become a horse. Use it again to return to human form.
2. Hold your Jump key to charge a leap; release it to jump. Try charging while on the ground.
3. Have a friend sneak and right-click you to open your tack. They can put a saddle in the saddle slot and horse armor in the armor slot.
4. With a saddle fitted, your friend can right-click you without sneaking to ride. They can also feed you by right-clicking with a supported food item.

Overview

Saddled Soul lets a player take horse form, charge jumps, and carry one passenger. There are no new items to craft: the transformation is activated with a command, while saddles, horse armor, and food come from Minecraft.

How To Use

• Change form: Run /togglehorse to switch between horse and human form.
• Open tack: Another player sneaks and right-clicks you. The tack screen has separate slots for a saddle and horse armor.
• Mount: Another player right-clicks you without sneaking. You must have a saddle fitted, and you can carry one passenger at a time. Use your usual dismount control to get off.
• Feed: Another player right-clicks you without sneaking while holding a supported food. Feeding takes priority over mounting.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Charged jump: Hold Jump to fill the on-screen charge bar, then release. The charge reaches its maximum after 40 ticks (about 2 seconds); a fuller charge gives a stronger leap. You must be on the ground when the jump is triggered.
• Faster movement: Horse form increases your movement speed.
• Feeding and healing: Wheat restores 2 health, an apple 4, a golden carrot 5, a hay block 6, and a golden apple 10. Food is consumed only if you are missing health; healing cannot exceed your maximum health.
• Horse-form limits: You cannot attack, break blocks, use items, or pick up dropped items, and your hunger does not drain while in this form.
• Armor: When you transform into a horse, any armor you are wearing is dropped. The tack screen accepts horse armor in its armor slot; the saddle is required for another player to ride you.### Progression And Strategy

Try a full-charge jump from solid ground, and coordinate with a friend to fit your saddle before attempting a ride. Switch back to human form when you need to use items, fight, break blocks, or collect drops.
