Quickstart

• Look for Ruptures on the End’s surface, or use a Rupture Spawn Egg in Creative.
• To summon one with commands, use /summon com_rupture_njxg5244:mycustom.
• Watch one from a distance before attacking: an adult Rupture retaliates when a player hurts it, charging and exploding at close range.
• To raise more, use chorus fruit on two Ruptures. They can breed even if they are not at full health.

Overview

Rupture is a large, mulberry-colored walrus-like mob that wanders the End. It normally keeps to itself, but an adult can turn a close fight into a dangerous blast.

What It Adds

How To Use

Ruptures wander and look around on their own. Use chorus fruit to feed them; two Ruptures fed this way can breed. A baby follows its parent and grows up over time. Feeding a baby chorus fruit helps it grow faster.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Retaliation: Hurting an adult Rupture makes it target the player. It approaches and can create an explosion when close and able to see its target. The blast does not break blocks or start fires.
• Babies: A baby Rupture can be hurt, but does not retaliate.
• Falling: Ruptures take no fall damage. During a fall, they can briefly hover on their own before returning to normal movement.

Crafting And Obtaining

Rupture spawns naturally on the End’s surface. In Creative, use the Rupture Spawn Egg or summon one with /summon com_rupture_njxg5244:mycustom. No crafting recipe is provided.

A player kill may yield 0–2 chorus fruit and 0–2 slime balls. Moss blocks, glowstone dust, and ender pearls are less common drops.

Progression And Strategy

Use chorus fruit to breed Ruptures and to help babies grow. If you choose to fight an adult, keep your distance and avoid giving it a clear path to approach: its close-range explosion can be dangerous.
