Claims and other commands
Claims protect your chunk from actions by other adventurers. Stand in the chunk you want to manage before using its command.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/rr:claim | Claim the chunk you are standing in for 100 Rune Coins. |
/rr:unclaim | Release your claim on the current chunk. |
/rr:claims | List your claimed chunks. |
/rr:money | Check your Rune Coin balance. |
/rr:rtp | Teleport to a safe random unclaimed location. |
/rr:shop | Open the shops. |
/rr:auction | Open the Auction House. |
/rr:engrave | Open custom weapon engraving. |
/rr:hearts | Toggle Runebound extra hearts. |
/rr:guide | Show the command guide. |
/rr:admin_gear | Give yourself the special Admin Regalia and blade; operators only. |
Crafting And Obtaining
The one-time kit from /rr:starter is a quick way to begin. The Quest Tome can also be crafted at a crafting table:

The Tome opens the RPG menu when used. Other gear can be purchased in the shops or earned as quest rewards. The Admin Regalia is not craftable.
Abilities And Mechanics
Hostile kills grant 15 XP and 15 Rune Coins. Level-ups require progressively more XP; the Character screen shows your current progress. The Abilities menu offers:
| Ability | Unlocks at | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Healing Pulse | Level 1 | Regeneration |
| Fleet Step | Level 3 | Speed and Jump Boost |
| Ward Shield | Level 5 | A defensive ward |
Abilities recharge after use. Runebound weapons also have special effects triggered in combat, while relics activate when used and have individual cooldowns. For example, the Ember Orb grants Fire Resistance, the Healing Totem grants Regeneration, and the Cleansing Vial removes several negative effects.
Wearing matching armor pieces grants set bonuses:
| Set | Two pieces | Full set |
|---|---|---|
| Runic Sentinel | Resistance | Strength |
| Frostguard | Fire Resistance | Water Breathing |
| Emberlord | Fire Resistance | Strength II |
| Verdant Warden | Regeneration | Resistance II |
| Voidstalker | Speed | Night Vision |
| Starforged | Resistance | Night Vision |
| Abyssal Tide | Resistance | Water Breathing |
| Wildheart | Regeneration | Speed |
| Stormglass | Speed | Resistance |
| Dawnforge | Strength | Fire Resistance |
The full Admin Regalia grants its combined powers and 50 hearts.
Progression And Strategy
The recurring Slay the Threat quest counts hostile kills in groups of ten. Claim each completed reward in the Quest Journal: it grants 75 Rune Coins and a rotating Runebound item. Hostile kills also help you level and build the balance used for shopping, engraving, and land claims.
Custom weapon engravings can add up to three runes to a Runebound weapon. Options include Cinder Edge (ignite weakness), Rimebite (slow), Venom Script (poison), Soul Siphon (regeneration after a strike), Stormstep (a speed surge), Warding Rune (brief resistance), Fortune Sigil (bonus coins from a kill), and Mending Glyph (repair on hit). Engravings cost 60–120 Rune Coins; open the engraving menu while holding a Runebound weapon.
