Revenge Of The Steak

Quickstart

1. Load into any world with this mod applied — it announces itself immediately: "Revenge of the Steak is active: every night is a Blood Moon."
2. Every cow you meet will already be (or turn into) an Enraged Steak Cow — a hostile, tanky bovine that hunts you down.
3. Craft the Steak gear line as soon as you have cooked_beef (cook regular beef, or loot it from fallen enemies) and a few blaze_rods for tool handles:
   • Steak Sword
   • Steak Bow
   • Steak Blaster
   • Steak Helmet, Steak Chestplate, Steak Leggings, Steak Boots
   • Steak Axe, Steak Pickaxe, Steak Shovel
4. Watch the action bar — it tells you whether hordes are simply "hunting day and night" or a full BLOOD MOON is underway.
5. Survive until nightfall (in-game time), when the Blood Moon Steak Overlord spawns near you. Gear up, fight smart, and use the Steak Blaster or Steak Bow for ranged bursts of damage.

Overview

Revenge Of The Steak turns peaceful cows into a relentless nightly threat. Every cow in the world is replaced by an aggressive Enraged Steak Cow, and every single night becomes a Blood Moon: waves of steak cows swarm you, and a colossal boss — the Blood Moon Steak Overlord — rises to hunt you down. To fight back, you can craft a full set of beef-themed weapons, tools, and armor from cooked beef.

How To Use

• Cows are the enemy now. Any vanilla cow you encounter is instantly converted into an Enraged Steak Cow — don't expect to milk one peacefully.
• Hordes spawn continuously. Small groups of steak cows regularly appear around you, growing larger and more frequent during Blood Moon hours.
• Blood Moon happens every night. Once daytime clock passes into evening, the sky darkens further, hordes intensify, and the Blood Moon Steak Overlord spawns nearby with a warning message.
• Equip your Steak armor set for solid protection while you fight.
• Use the Steak Sword or Axe for strong melee damage against hordes.
• Use the Steak Bow or Steak Blaster to unleash an area blast of damage at range — great against the boss or dense hordes. The Blaster fires faster but the Bow hits at longer range.
• Watch the action bar for a live status of whether it's just steady hunting or a full swarming Blood Moon.

Crafting And Obtaining

All Steak gear is crafted at a crafting table using cooked beef as the primary ingredient, often combined with blaze rods, string, or redstone for special parts:

Cooked beef can be gathered from cooking raw beef, or as loot from defeated Enraged Steak Cows (which also drop leather). Defeating the Blood Moon Steak Overlord rewards a nether star and a large stack of cooked beef.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Steak Blaster: Fires a close-range area blast (short cooldown) that damages every nearby hostile target.
• Steak Bow: Fires a longer-range area blast, useful for hitting enemies from a safer distance.
• Enraged Steak Cow behavior: Actively targets and attacks both players and other mobs, moves quickly, and spawns in herds.
• Blood Moon Steak Overlord: An enormous boss with a boss health bar shown on-screen, darkens the sky on spawn, and hits extremely hard — treat it as an endgame threat requiring full gear and careful positioning rather than a straight brawl.
• Escalating hordes: Steak cow spawn rates roughly double during Blood Moon hours compared to daytime.

Progression And Strategy

• Start by gathering cooked beef from any source to bootstrap your first tools and armor.
• Prioritize the Steak Sword and at least a chestplate/helmet early — hordes get relentless fast.
• Use the Steak Axe or Pickaxe to keep gathering resources between fights.
• Build up a full armor set and craft the Steak Bow and/or Steak Blaster before your first Blood Moon night arrives — the Overlord's attacks are punishing without proper gear.
• After defeating an Overlord, use its dropped nether star and beef supply to reinforce your gear and prepare for the next Blood Moon, since it returns every night.
