Description
Rendering Stabilizer adds a craftable handheld device that lets players reduce visual corruption and glitches in the world by performing stabilization cycles. Craft it at a crafting table from an amethyst shard, redstone, quartz, and a stick, then equip and use it to begin an 8-second stabilization sequence with action-bar progress, pulsing particles, sounds, range checks, cooldowns, and clear success/failure feedback. When successful the device removes nearby corruption status effects, grants short night vision and resistance, clears weather, and even extinguishes nearby fire and soul fire to represent visual repair. Progress is tracked with a persistent Render Stability scoreboard that increments on each completion so you can measure and improve your stability over time.

Overview
Rendering Stabilizer adds a single handheld tool that lets players actively combat visual corruption in their world. Equipping and using the device triggers a timed stabilization cycle that cleanses nearby negative effects, improves visibility, clears weather, and extinguishes fire — all framed as repairing the visual integrity of the world around you. Each successful cycle is logged to a persistent scoreboard so you can track your progress over time.
What It Adds
| Item | Description |
|---|
| Rendering Stabilizer | A handheld device used to perform stabilization cycles. Found in the Equipment tab. Max stack size: 1. Has durability (up to 96 uses, with variable damage per use). |
A Render Stability scoreboard objective is automatically created when the mod loads, tracking each player's completed stabilization cycles.
How To Use
- Hold the Rendering Stabilizer in your hand.
- Use the item to begin a stabilization session. You'll hear a beacon activation sound and see a progress message on your action bar.
- Stay near your starting position for the full ~8-second duration. Moving out of range or otherwise breaking the session will interrupt it.
- If the session succeeds, the following happens instantly around you:
- Nearby corruption status effects are removed.
- You receive brief Night Vision and Resistance.
- Weather is cleared for an extended period.
- Nearby fire and soul fire blocks are extinguished.
- If interrupted, a low bass tone plays and the action bar shows: "Stabilization interrupted: [reason]"
- A cooldown applies after each use before you can trigger another session.
Abilities And Mechanics
Stabilization Session
- Lasts approximately 8 seconds from activation.
- Pulsing particles and sounds play throughout to indicate progress.
- You must remain within range of your anchor point (where you stood when you activated the device). Leaving the area cancels the session.
On Success
| Effect | Details |
|---|
| Status effect cleanse | Removes corruption-type effects from nearby players |
| Night Vision | Short duration buff granted to the user |
| Resistance | Short duration buff granted to the user |
| Weather clear | Clears rain/thunder for an extended time |
| Fire extinguish | Fills nearby fire and soul fire with air in a radius around the player |
| Stability point | +1 added to your Render Stability scoreboard score |
Cooldown & Durability
- The device has a post-use cooldown before it can be activated again.
- Each use has a random chance to damage the item's durability. The Rendering Stabilizer can withstand up to 96 durability points before breaking.
- Movement speed is slightly reduced while using the device.
Progression And Strategy
- Your Render Stability score is visible on the scoreboard (use
/scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar to display it). It increments by 1 with every successful cycle, giving you a permanent record of your stabilization efforts.
- To maximize efficiency, stand still after activating the device — moving out of range wastes the cooldown and grants no benefit.
- Because fire is extinguished on success, the Rendering Stabilizer is also useful as an emergency area fire suppressor in a pinch.
- The device is not stackable and has limited durability, so consider crafting spares to keep on hand for long sessions.
