Redstone Pickaxe

Quickstart

Craft the Redstone Pickaxe at a crafting table using redstone and sticks:

Equip it in your main hand to gain Haste II, then mine blocks with it. Try mining ores to see the redstone particle burst; each block you mine also has a 20% chance to give you Speed II for 3 seconds. You can also hit an entity to launch it back and call down lightning at its position.

In Creative, look for it in the equipment category, or use:

/give @s com_redstone_pickaxe_3h4tvhwu:my_sword

Overview

The Redstone Pickaxe is a redstone-themed mining tool that also grants a haste boost while held. It can mine a range of stone, ore, and other blocks quickly, and has an extra effect when used to attack.

How To Use

• Mine: Hold the pickaxe and mine blocks as usual. Mining triggers a redstone particle burst at the block.
• Keep it in your main hand: While you hold it there, you receive Haste II. The effect refreshes about every 2 seconds.
• Attack: Use the pickaxe to hit an entity. The hit knocks the target back and summons a lightning bolt at its location.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Mining speed: Speed 6 against stone, cobblestone, coal, iron, gold, diamond, redstone, emerald, and lapis ores; Nether gold ore, quartz ore, ancient debris, netherrack, sandstone, gravel, and obsidian.
• Mining surge: Each mined block has a 20% chance to grant Speed II for 3 seconds.
• Durability: 250. Redstone can be used to repair the pickaxe.
• Combat: Deals 4 damage and applies knockback when it hits an entity. It has an uncommon rarity and a redstone-like glint.

Crafting And Obtaining

The crafting recipe uses three redstone across the top row and two sticks down the center. You can also obtain the pickaxe from the Creative inventory or with the command shown in Quickstart.
