Craft the axe at a crafting table with 4 redstone and 2 sticks in this layout:

Equip it in your main hand. Use it to chop wood, mine other blocks, or hit a mob. Use the axe button to trigger its redstone pulse: you’ll get a brief Night Vision effect and a burst of red particles.

Overview

The Redstone Axe is a redstone-themed tool with a faint glow and a powered look. It works as an axe for chopping wood and gives you short-lived effects when you mine blocks, hit an entity, or use it.

How To Use

• Chop: Mine wood and wooden blocks with the axe.
• Mine: Mining a block grants a brief Haste effect.
• Attack: Hitting an entity releases red particles and briefly boosts your Strength.
• Use: Activate the axe with your use button for Night Vision and a redstone particle burst.
• Hold: While it’s in your main hand, faint red particles appear around your feet from time to time.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Redstone Axe at a crafting table using the recipe above. Redstone can also repair it, restoring 50 durability per repair.

Abilities And Mechanics

The axe has 8 attack damage. Its effects are brief, so use the mining boosts as you work and activate Night Vision when you want a quick burst of visibility.

Progression And Strategy

Keep redstone on hand both for crafting and repairs. The axe is most useful when gathering wood; its longer Haste boost triggers on wood blocks, while mining other blocks still grants a shorter burst of Haste.
