Red Banner Warlord

Quickstart

1. Load into a world with the mod installed and run /locate biome com_red_banner_warlord_tb3spcwz:ussr_steppe to find the USSR Steppe biome.
2. Travel there and mine Red Banner Soil and chop Banner Pine Logs to gather materials.
3. At a crafting table, craft the Red Banner Flag and head back to the steppe.
4. Use (right-click / tap) the Red Banner Flag to summon Joseph Stalian, Premier of the USSR — a powerful 500 HP boss.
5. Defeat him to claim rare Soviet loot. You can summon him once per real-world day per player.

Overview

Red Banner Warlord introduces the USSR Steppe, a custom overworld biome with unique terrain, blocks, and flora. Exploring the steppe yields new materials used to craft Soviet-inspired weapons, tools, armor, and food. The ultimate goal is to craft the Red Banner Flag, use it to trigger a daily boss duel against Joseph Stalian, and collect his rare drops — then return the next day and do it again.

Joseph Stalian, Premier of the USSR — a custom commander with 500 HP, heavy melee attacks, and a unique appearance. He spawns aggressive, pursues players and villagers, and announces his presence on your action bar when within 48 blocks.

How To Use

Finding the USSR Steppe

Use the command /locate biome com_red_banner_warlord_tb3spcwz:ussr_steppe to get coordinates. The biome replaces vanilla terrain in patches and features Red Banner Soil as its surface, Banner Pine trees, and scattered Red Poppy flowers.

Harvesting Biome Materials

• Break Red Banner Soil by hand or with a tool to collect it.
• Chop Banner Pine Logs to collect wood.
• Break Red Poppies for decorative flowers.
• Banner Pine Leaves have a small chance to drop themselves when broken.

Summoning Joseph Stalian

Hold a Red Banner Flag and use it (right-click on Java parity, or tap the use button on Bedrock). The boss spawns a few blocks away from you, the raid horn sounds, and a message confirms the summoning. Each player can summon him once per real-world day. Attempting to summon again before the day resets shows a message telling you to return tomorrow.

The Daily Boss Fight

When Joseph Stalian is within 48 blocks, your action bar displays:

Boss Nearby: Joseph Stalian (500 HP) — Defeat him for rare Red Banner loot

He deals heavy melee damage — bring your best armor and weapons. On death, he drops his loot and a message confirms your victory.

Red Guard Armor is not craftable — it is obtained exclusively from Joseph Stalian's loot table.

Abilities And Mechanics

Commissar Sabre

• 9 melee damage — stronger than an iron sword
• 900 durability; accepts sword enchantments
• Can be found as a boss drop or crafted

Worker's Hammer

• Doubles as a weapon (5 damage) and a fast mining tool for stone, metal, and dirt blocks
• Supports efficiency-based digging speed of 8 on applicable materials
• Accepts digger enchantments

Borscht Ration

• Restores 8 hunger with 0.8 saturation modifier — very filling
• Cannot be eaten when full
• Stacks to 16, making it efficient to carry in bulk

Joseph Stalian — Boss Mechanics

• 500 HP — significantly tankier than vanilla bosses like the Elder Guardian
• Spawns only once per player per real-world day via the Red Banner Flag
• Also has a rare natural spawn chance in the USSR Steppe at low light levels (0–7)
• Displays an action-bar warning when nearby
• On kill, drops from two loot pools:
  • Pool 1 (1 item): Commissar Sabre, Red Guard Chestplate, or Red Banner Flag
  • Pool 2 (2–5 items): Borscht Rations, Emeralds, or Gold Ingots

Progression And Strategy

1. Locate the biome with /locate biome and travel there early.
2. Gather materials — Red Banner Soil, Banner Pine Logs, vanilla iron, gold nuggets, red wool, and sticks — to craft your starting gear.
3. Craft the Commissar Sabre and Worker's Hammer for a strong combat and mining loadout before your first boss fight.
4. Craft Borscht Rations for reliable food during the boss encounter.
5. Craft the Red Banner Flag and trigger your first daily duel with Joseph Stalian.
6. Defeat him to earn Red Guard Armor pieces and additional flags or sabres from his drops.
7. Repeat the daily challenge — each real-world day resets your summon, giving you another shot at rare drops. Over time you can assemble a full Red Guard armor set and stock up on Soviet loot.

Tip: Because Joseph Stalian can also spawn naturally in the USSR Steppe at night, consider building a shelter nearby or staying alert when farming biome materials after dark.
