Reassurance Bucket

Quickstart

1. Open the Tools tab in the Creative inventory and take the Reassurance Bucket.
2. Hold it in your main hand or off-hand.
3. Listen for its calming music and explore while its protective benefits take effect.
4. Try breaking gravel, leaves, dirt, or stone in a mountain biome to look for occasional bonus drops.
5. Keep it in your hand while visiting villagers, caring for tamed animals, or exploring dangerous areas.

The item does not need to be placed or activated. Its effects apply automatically while you are holding it. It stacks to one item.

Overview

The Reassurance Bucket is a holding item that provides comfort and quiet protection. While it is in either hand, it plays dedicated music and grants the hidden Reassured benefit.

The benefits stop when you are no longer holding the bucket. You do not need to use, place, or right-click it.

How To Use

Holding the Bucket

Place the bucket in your main hand or off-hand. Holding it in either location is enough to activate all of its effects.

When you start holding it:

• Reassurance music begins playing.
• Regular Minecraft music is stopped.
• The hidden Reassured benefit becomes active.

When you put it away:

• The Reassurance music stops.
• Regular music can play normally again.
• The hidden benefits end.

Mining Bonus Drops

While reassured, block breaking has a small chance to produce an extra item:

The bonus chance is independent of the normal block drops, so the extra item can appear alongside the usual result.

Villager Trades

While holding the bucket, the first villager offer preparation for you during a Minecraft day reduces the special price of every offer from that villager by 1.

This assistance is limited to once per player per Minecraft day.

Abilities And Mechanics

The Reassured benefit quietly provides the following effects.

Protection

• Incoming damage is reduced by 1 damage point.
• Damage from phantoms receives an additional 1 damage-point reduction.
• Fall distance is reduced by half a block before fall damage is calculated.
• Knockback strength is reduced by 10% while you are blocking with a shield.
• Resistance is granted periodically for 30 seconds at a time, on a roughly 60-second refresh cycle.

These protections only apply while the Reassurance Bucket is in your main hand or off-hand.

Survival Support

• Exhaustion gain is reduced by 5%.
• Nausea, Blindness, and Darkness are continually removed.
• If you have at least 18 food points and are injured, you receive a small natural-healing pulse about every 8 seconds.

Equipment Durability

While reassured, durability damage can occasionally be prevented:

• Tools and other player-held item damage: 3% chance per damage event
• Armor durability damage: 5% chance per damage event
• Elytra durability damage: 10% chance per damage event

The bucket does not make equipment completely immune to damage; it offers occasional protection against durability loss.

Tamed Animals

Nearby tamed animals owned by you can receive small healing pulses:

• Range: 32 blocks
• Frequency: about every 20 seconds
• Amount: 1 health point per healing pulse

Only injured, living animals owned by the player holding the bucket are healed.

Bees

Living bees within 16 blocks have their attack target cleared while you are reassured. This helps calm nearby bees and makes them less likely to remain focused on a target.

Cats

Cats within 16 blocks of a reassured player do not start or continue the standard behavior of fleeing from that player. The bucket can therefore help keep nearby cats calm.

Crafting And Obtaining

No crafting recipe is provided for the Reassurance Bucket.

In Creative mode, find it in the Tools item group, or use:

Progression And Strategy

• Keep the bucket in your off-hand when you need its protection without replacing the item in your main hand.
• Carry it during phantom attacks, dangerous descents, or long mining trips.
• Use it while exploring mountains for a chance at bonus emeralds from stone.
• Hold it while harvesting gravel, leaves, and dirt when extra flint, apples, or suspicious stew would be useful.
• Bring it near injured tamed animals for periodic healing.
• Use it around bees and cats when you want a calmer base or animal area.
• Remember that every benefit ends as soon as the bucket leaves both hands.
