Reality Check Mod

Quickstart

1. Get the main items from the Creative inventory, or use commands:
   • /give @s reality-check-mod-kusqhvgp:pill_bottle
   • /give @s reality-check-mod-kusqhvgp:weed_seeds
   • /give @s reality-check-mod-kusqhvgp:weed
   • /give @s reality-check-mod-kusqhvgp:white_liquid_bucket
2. Use a Pill Bottle by holding right-click until the drinking animation finishes. The effect lasts about 60 seconds and causes strong visual distortion.
3. Plant Weed Seeds on farmland and let the crop mature. Harvest a fully grown Weed Crop for Weed and more seeds, then eat the Weed by holding right-click.
4. Place White Liquid from the White Liquid Bucket. Walk through it to experience its sluggish movement and eerie walking sound.
5. For the mod’s stranger content, use /goon. The first nine uses open a rapid-click meter; click the screen 40 times to fill it. The tenth use sends you to The Goon Dimension.

Overview

Reality Check Mod adds consumable substances, a growable Weed crop, strange liquid blocks, visual effects, unusual sounds, and command-driven surreal encounters.

Pill Bottle effects are intense and disorienting. Weed produces a gentler, colorful experience with different movement effects. White Liquid and Blood can spread through the world and alter how movement looks and sounds.

What It Adds

How To Use

Pill Bottle

Hold right-click while holding a Pill Bottle to drink it. Non-Creative players consume one bottle when the use finishes.

For roughly one minute, the Pill Bottle can cause:

• Nausea, Night Vision, Glowing, Slowness, and Jump Boost
• Periodic Levitation and Slow Falling
• Occasional bursts of Speed
• A pulsing field of view and camera wobble
• Colorful screen overlays, blur, particles, and movement trails
• Strange chimes, echoes, and other ambient sounds

The effect ends automatically and the screen gradually returns to normal. Clearing the associated status effects early also ends the active visual effect.

Weed

Plant Weed Seeds on farmland like a normal crop. When the crop is fully grown, break it to receive Weed and additional seeds. Weed can also be crafted back into two Weed Seeds.

Hold right-click while holding Weed to eat it. Non-Creative players consume one Weed after the eating animation finishes.

The Weed effect lasts roughly 45 seconds and provides:

• Night Vision
• A softer, shifting visual filter
• Gentle field-of-view and camera movement
• Periodic Slow Falling, Speed, and Jump Boost
• Colored particles, movement trails, and quiet chimes
• Subtle echoed footsteps while moving

White Liquid

Use a White Liquid Bucket on a block to place a source of White Liquid. It flows outward and can spread up to four blocks from its source.

Entities moving through White Liquid are slowed. While walking through either White Liquid or Blood, a player-relative eerie stepping sound plays and stops when movement ends.

You can also place the block directly with a command:

/setblock ~ ~ ~ reality-check-mod-kusqhvgp:white_liquid

To obtain the placeable White Liquid block directly:

/give @s reality-check-mod-kusqhvgp:white_liquid

Blood

Blood is a flowing world liquid rather than a portable bucket fluid. An empty bucket cannot collect it, and breaking Blood does not provide a Blood item.

Use the following command to place it:

/setblock ~ ~ ~ reality-check-mod-kusqhvgp:blood

Blood flows farther than White Liquid, slows movement, and produces dark-red particles. Entering Blood covers the screen with a red overlay. The overlay fades out shortly after leaving the liquid.

Blood can be used alongside White Liquid to create unsettling pools, paths, or arenas.

Pill Bottle

Craft a Pill Bottle using the recipe below:

Weed Seeds

Craft two Weed Seeds from Wheat Seeds and Green Dye:

A fully grown Weed Crop also provides seeds. Weed can be converted into two Weed Seeds:

Weed Farming

1. Craft or obtain Weed Seeds.
2. Till soil into farmland.
3. Plant the seeds.
4. Allow the crop to grow, or use normal crop-growing methods.
5. Break the mature crop to collect Weed and more seeds.

The crop has seven growth stages and drops Weed only when fully grown.

White Liquid Bucket

White Liquid Bucket is available in the Creative inventory’s Tools section. It can be used like a normal fluid bucket to place White Liquid and can collect a still White Liquid source.

Abilities And Mechanics

The Goon Meter

The /goon command has two connected activities:

1. Use /goon to open the Goon Menu.
2. Rapidly left-click anywhere on the screen.
3. Fill the meter to 40 / 40 clicks.
4. Press Goon End when the button becomes active.

If the meter is not full when the menu closes, nothing happens. A successful completion surrounds the player with White Liquid in nearby open spaces.

The first nine /goon uses show the meter and display command progress. On the tenth use, the command instead transports the player to The Goon Dimension.

The Goon Dimension

The Goon Dimension is a dim, mostly empty, flat space with White Liquid beneath its arrival point. It has no normal overworld structures or natural terrain to explore.

Death releases the player from the dimension and returns them to the Overworld spawn area. To force a death and exit immediately, use:

/kys

This command kills the executing player, so use it only when you are ready to accept the normal consequences of dying.

Dialogue Commands

The mod also includes randomized text-only commands:

• /intercourse male
• /intercourse female

Each command displays a random dismissive line and does not provide an item, effect, or progression reward.

Progression And Strategy

• Start with Weed Seeds if you want a renewable activity: one mature crop can provide both Weed and additional seeds.
• Keep Pill Bottles and Weed separate in your inventory so you can choose between the intense and gentler visual experiences.
• Avoid testing Pill Bottle effects near cliffs, lava, or dangerous mobs. Levitation, camera movement, and Slowness can make movement difficult.
• Use White Liquid as a controlled test area for the movement slowdown and eerie walking audio.
• Build Blood pools with commands when you want a stronger horror effect. The red overlay lingers briefly after leaving, so use small pools first.
• Complete the Goon Menu before closing it if you want the surrounding White Liquid reward.
• Use the /goon command repeatedly when you want to reach The Goon Dimension, and remember that death is the way out.
