Description
Poolroom Echo drops a liminal "poolrooms" region into your Overworld as a new biome of tiled floors, damp yellow walls, flickering fluorescent panels and rare Echo Cores to explore, loot, and escape, now made more dangerous by a new hostile Poolrooms Stalker that only spawns naturally in the biome and can also be summoned with its spawn egg. Start a timed run with /poolrooms enter or by using the Echo Locator, survive the procedurally generated tiled maze, then locate and right-click the Echo Core to win; use /poolrooms kit for starter gear, /poolrooms status to check progress, and /poolrooms reset to abort. Poolrooms now generate naturally and are populated by drowned, slimes, frogs, turtles, and axolotls (with drowned and slimes added to timed runs); session-spawned creatures are tracked and removed when a run completes, times out, or is reset, and runs teleport, give periodic updates, clean up the area on finish, and only grant an Echo Key when you successfully escape.

Overview
Poolroom Echo adds The Poolrooms — a liminal, backrooms-inspired biome — directly into your Overworld. It features a fully themed aesthetic (pool tiles, damp yellow walls, fluorescent panels) along with a structured timed-escape challenge, a unique hostile mob, and a handful of special items. It's part exploration biome, part survival puzzle.

How To Use
Commands
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/poolrooms enter | Teleports you in and starts a timed run |
/poolrooms kit | Gives starter gear for the run |
/poolrooms status | Shows your current run status and elapsed time |
/poolrooms reset | Aborts your current run and cleans up the session |
Starting a Run
You can trigger a run in two ways:
- Type
/poolrooms enter - Right-click with the Echo Locator item
Both methods teleport you into the maze and start the timer.
Winning
Locate the Echo Core block within the maze and right-click it. A successful escape:
- Cleans up the run area
- Removes session-spawned mobs
- Awards you an Echo Key
Failing or Resetting
If the run times out or you use /poolrooms reset, the session is cleaned up and no Echo Key is awarded.
Abilities And Mechanics
Poolrooms Stalker
The Stalker is a powerful zombie-class monster with boosted stats:
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Max Health | 34 HP (17 hearts) |
| Attack Damage | 6 (3 hearts) |
| Armor | 4 |
| Movement Speed | 0.31 (faster than standard zombies) |
| Follow Range | 34 blocks |
| Knockback Resistance | 25% |
- Does not burn in sunlight — it won't die if somehow exposed.
- Does not convert to a Drowned in water.
- Plays an ambient sound on hit — a subtle audio cue when it lands an attack.
- Spawns naturally only inside The Poolrooms biome; also appears during timed runs.
- Can be summoned anywhere using the Poolrooms Stalker Spawn Egg.
Session Tracking
When a run is active, all mobs spawned by the session (including Drowned and Slimes in timed runs) are tracked. They are fully removed when the run ends — whether by escape, timeout, or reset.
Progression And Strategy
- Use
/poolrooms kitbefore your first run to avoid being caught unprepared. - Drowned and Slimes actively spawn during timed runs alongside the Stalker — manage crowds carefully.
- The Stalker has a long follow range (34 blocks), so putting distance between you and it is not as effective as it would be against standard mobs.
- The Echo Core is rare within the maze — systematic exploration beats random searching.
- Collect Poolroom Tiles, Damp Yellow Walls, and Fluorescent Panels by mining them in the biome; all drop themselves and make excellent liminal-themed building blocks.
- Echo Keys are only earned on a clean escape — don't reset unless absolutely necessary.
