Description
Pocket Villagers can also appear naturally in village-tagged areas. They cannot be created with /summon.
Pocket Villager adds a tiny villager mob with familiar village behavior. It can wander, work, gather with other villagers, sleep, take a profession, trade, and react to threats.
Adults are scaled to one-eighth of normal size. Baby Pocket Villagers are smaller still.
Use the interact button while looking at a Pocket Villager.
Because the mob is very small, aim carefully when interacting with it.
Pocket Villagers can have the following professions:
| Profession | Workstation |
|---|---|
| Farmer | Composter |
| Fisherman | Barrel |
| Shepherd | Loom |
| Fletcher | Fletching Table |
| Librarian | Lectern |
| Cartographer | Cartography Table |
| Cleric | Brewing Stand |
| Armorer | Blast Furnace |
| Weaponsmith | Grindstone |
| Toolsmith | Smithing Table |
| Butcher | Smoker |
| Leatherworker | Cauldron |
| Stone Mason | Stonecutter |
Place an unclaimed workstation near an unskilled adult and give it time to find the job site. Once employed, it follows that profession's work routine and uses its regular trade offers.
Interact with a professioned adult to trade. Trade progress is retained, and trades can be replenished while the villager works during the day.
Provide a bed and a reachable workstation so the Pocket Villager can maintain its daily routine and restock its trades.
There are no Pocket Villager crafting recipes.
The Pocket Villager Spawn Egg is available in the Creative inventory. Use it on the ground to spawn the mob.
Pocket Villagers can spawn in village-tagged areas when:
Natural groups contain one or two Pocket Villagers. They can appear as babies or adults, with a variety of professions and appearances.
Pocket Villagers follow a village-style schedule:
Professioned villagers perform job-specific activities. For example, farmers can harvest and fertilize farmland, while librarians may inspect bookshelves.
The Pocket Villager's clothing and appearance can reflect its environment. Variants include:
Profession clothing and villager levels are also displayed on the mob.
A small portion of naturally spawned Pocket Villagers are babies. Babies use a child schedule, play during the day, and grow into adults after their growth period.
Pocket Villagers retain dangerous villager transformations:
When killed by a player, a Pocket Villager has a 5% chance to drop one emerald. It does not provide this drop for every death.
