Description

The recipe uses 3 amethyst shards, 1 ender pearl, and 3 white dye. 2. Hold an empty capsule and use it while aiming at a mob. The capsule is thrown. 3. Hit a living mob to capture it. The mob disappears and a filled capsule drops nearby. 4. Pick up the filled capsule. Its tooltip shows the captured mob, and the capsule glows. 5. Throw the filled capsule at a block or another entity to release the mob as your ally. An empty capsule drops when the release is complete. 6. The Pocket Tamer Capsule is a throwable capture-and-release item. It stores one living mob inside a filled capsule and restores that mob when the capsule is thrown again.
Hold an empty capsule and press the use button to throw it.
Hold a filled capsule and throw it at a block or entity.
The stored mob appears at the impact location, becomes your ally, and the used capsule returns as an empty capsule. Throwing a filled capsule at another mob releases the stored ally; it does not capture the mob that was hit.
A filled capsule:
Captured: <name> in its tooltip.Throw to release as ally!An empty capsule shows that it can be thrown at a mob to capture it.
Craft the capsule with:
You can also obtain it from the Creative inventory by searching for Pocket Tamer Capsule in the Tools category.
A mob released from a capsule is marked as tamed for its capturing player. It becomes persistent instead of naturally despawning and receives a visible name in the format:
<Original Name> (Tamed)
This works for both hostile mobs and normally passive or friendly mobs. Released mobs can pursue and attack valid targets when ordered to assist.
Your nearby pocket-tamed mobs respond when:
Only owned allies within 64 blocks are commanded to assist. They move toward the target and attack when close enough. Passive mobs released from capsules receive the same basic combat assistance as hostile mobs.
Allies do not attack:
Damage from a pocket-tamed ally against its owner or another pocket-tamed mob is prevented.
In multiplayer, an empty capsule can also hit another player.
