The mod normally allows one living tamed companion per player.
| Companion | Appearance | Taming items |
|---|---|---|
| Girl | Pastel player-like companion | 12 Gold Ingots, 5 Emeralds, or 1 Diamond |
| Goth Girl | Dark-colored companion with goth dialogue and effects | 15 Netherite Ingots, 1 Wither Rose, 3 Wither Skeleton Skulls, or 32 Rotten Flesh |
| Femboy | Blue, purple, and mint-colored companion | 12 Gold Ingots, 5 Emeralds, or 1 Diamond |
Companions can spawn periodically near villages. Goth Girls and Femboys are rare, so spawn eggs or summon commands are the reliable way to find a particular variant in Creative mode.
Find an untamed companion and right-click it while holding the correct taming item. The entire cost must be in the held stack.
An untamed companion is friendly and flees from attacks. After taming:

The menu does not pause the game. Scroll inside the dashboard to reach lower rows of commands.
After naming your companion, right-click them with:
Right-clicking with an unsupported item displays a reminder to use the command key.

| Hold | Make the companion stay in place. |

| Hunt | Selects hostile mobs, animals for food, or patrol hunting. |

YANDERE companions forgive one owner hit, but hitting the same companion twice within 10 seconds causes YANDERE rage. During rage, the companion attacks the owner. Avoid attacking your companion, especially after reaching Tier 3.
Before YANDERE mode, owner attacks do not damage a tamed companion. Goth Girls lose bond XP when their owner hits them.
Feeding any food item heals the companion by 6 health and increases bond XP.
Normal Girls and Femboys accept flowers as gifts. Goth Girls prefer Wither Roses and Wither Skeleton Skulls. Gifts are consumed outside Creative mode and provide a larger bond increase than ordinary commands.
