PAMA Control
Quickstart
- Craft a Mind-Control Chip from iron nuggets, redstone, and a comparator:
- Craft and equip the PAMA Terminal Helmet using iron ingots, redstone, and green dye:
- While the network is active, right-click a zombie, skeleton, or creeper with a chip. Each successful use chips one mob into a PAMA Drone and consumes one chip outside Creative mode.
- Press G by default to open the PAMA Command Overlay. Try Follow PAMA to bring nearby drones along, or Stop Mobs to hold them in place.
The network starts active. If it has been shut down, use a PAMA Power Grid to switch it back on.
Overview
PAMA Control lets you convert three hostile mob types into drones and issue orders to nearby ones from your helmet. Drones remain mobs of their original type, but join the PAMA network and can be directed as a group.
What It Adds
| Content | Use |
|---|---|
| Mind-Control Chip | Right-click an eligible hostile mob to turn it into a drone. |
| PAMA Terminal Helmet | Opens the command overlay with G by default; commands drones within 40 blocks. |
| PAMA Mainframe Interface | Right-click to view drones and their coordinates in the surrounding area. |
| PAMA Power Grid | Right-click its built-in lever to toggle the network worldwide. |
How To Use
Chip a mob
Hold a Mind-Control Chip in your main hand and right-click a zombie, skeleton, or creeper. The mob joins the network and is identified as a PAMA Drone if it did not already have a custom name. Chipped zombies move faster, and chipped skeletons fire more frequently.
Give orders
Wear the PAMA Terminal Helmet and press G to open the overlay. It affects living PAMA drones within 40 blocks while the network is online.
- Stop Mobs: Halt nearby drones in place.
- Reactivate All Mobs: Clear orders and let stopped drones act again.
- Set Target: Look directly at a living target and issue the order to prioritize it.
- Forget Target: Clear the target order.
- Rotate Looks: Turn drones to face the direction you are facing.
- Follow PAMA: Have drones follow you. Keep the helmet equipped to maintain this order.
Check the network
Right-click a PAMA Mainframe Interface to see whether the network is online and view nearby drones’ types and coordinates. When you place a mainframe, it also places a power grid in the space behind it if that space is empty.
Right-click a PAMA Power Grid to pull its built-in lever and toggle the network. Turning it off releases all drones and drops a Mind-Control Chip for each; turning it back on does not re-chip them.
Crafting And Obtaining
The chip and helmet recipes are shown in Quickstart.
Craft a PAMA Mainframe Interface from smooth red sandstone, redstone, and green dye:
Craft a PAMA Power Grid from iron ingots and redstone:
Abilities And Mechanics
- Drones can be zombies, skeletons, or creepers. Other hostile mobs cannot be chipped with this item.
- The network is shared worldwide. If it is shut down, all connected drones are released and drop chips.
- A drone that touches water is released and drops a chip.
- The helmet’s command overlay requires the network to be online. The mainframe can show network status and nearby drones.
Progression And Strategy
Start with a few chips and test orders somewhere safe. Keep drones within 40 blocks when issuing commands, and use Stop Mobs before positioning them. Avoid water around your drones, and keep the network active if you want to retain them as PAMA drones.
