Ordinary Pig

Quickstart

1. Open the Creative Inventory and select the Ordinary Pig spawn egg from the Spawn Eggs tab.
2. Use the spawn egg on the ground to summon an Ordinary Pig.
3. Interact with it like a standard Minecraft pig:
   • Feed it carrots, potatoes, or beetroots to breed it.
   • Use a saddle to ride it.
   • While riding, steer it with a carrot on a stick.
4. You can also find Ordinary Pigs spawning naturally throughout Overworld biomes.

Overview

The Ordinary Pig is a passive farm animal that behaves like a classic Minecraft pig. It uses the familiar pig appearance, animations, movement, sounds, breeding behavior, and riding mechanics.

Ordinary Pigs are peaceful and can be kept near your base as livestock or found while exploring the Overworld.

How To Use

Spawning

Use the Ordinary Pig spawn egg on a suitable block to create an Ordinary Pig. The egg is available in the Creative Inventory's Spawn Eggs tab.

Natural Spawning

Ordinary Pigs can spawn naturally as passive creatures in Overworld biomes. Explore the Overworld to find them without using a spawn egg.

Breeding

Feed two Ordinary Pigs carrots, potatoes, or beetroots. When both animals are ready, they breed and produce a piglet.

Riding

Place a saddle on an Ordinary Pig and interact with it to mount. While riding, use a carrot on a stick to guide it.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Passive mob: Ordinary Pigs do not attack players.
• Farm animal: They can be bred using standard pig food.
• Rideable: Saddled Ordinary Pigs can carry a rider.
• Overworld creature: They naturally appear in Overworld biomes.
• Standard pig behavior: Their movement, AI, interactions, breeding, and riding work like those of a regular Minecraft pig.
• Pig appearance: The mob uses the familiar pig model, animation style, and texture.
• Sound: Ordinary Pigs make an oinking sound.

Progression And Strategy

• Use the spawn egg to start a pig pen immediately in Creative Mode.
• Keep multiple Ordinary Pigs together so you can breed them.
• Fence them into a secure enclosure near your base.
• Keep carrots, potatoes, or beetroots available for breeding.
• Add saddles and carrot-on-a-stick items if you want to use the pigs for riding.
