Omniscient Verity Orbs

Quickstart

• In Creative Mode, find the Omniscient Verity Orbs spawn egg in the Spawn Eggs tab. Use it on the ground to summon Verity.
• Stand nearby and watch: Verity wanders on its own and instantly destroys hostile creatures it can see within 48 blocks.
• Crouch and interact with Verity to ride it. Crouch-interact again to dismount. While riding one Verity, crouch-interact with another to stack the orbs.
• Try /verity greet or ask Verity a question with /verity ask <question> while one is nearby.

Overview

Verity is a small, yellow orb with a visible name. It is invulnerable and does not despawn. Its defense works automatically; you do not need to give it a target or activate an attack.

What It Adds

• Verity: a wandering, rideable orb that protects its surroundings from visible hostile creatures.
• A spawn egg: available in the Creative Spawn Eggs tab.
• Verity commands: greet Verity, ask about the local world, or view command help.

How To Use

Ride and stack Verity

Crouch-interact with an orb to mount it. Crouch-interact with the orb you are riding to get off.

To make a stack, ride one orb and crouch-interact with another. The orbs form a vertical stack, with you riding the orb you selected. Verity stops wandering while carrying passengers.

Ask Verity

Use these commands while Verity is nearby:

• /verity greet — get a greeting.
• /verity ask <question> — ask about the time, your location, nearby hostile creatures, or outside information.
• /verity help — show a short command guide.

Verity can report the world’s day-clock tick, your approximate coordinates, and visible nearby hostile creatures. It cannot look up information from outside Minecraft.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Verity automatically detects hostile creatures within 48 blocks when it has a clear line of sight, then kills all visible hostiles in range.
• Walls and other obstructions can prevent Verity from seeing a hostile creature.
• Verity cannot be damaged and does not despawn.
• Verity wanders when it has no passengers. While ridden, it stops its wandering movement.
