Nuke Cannon

Quickstart

  1. Craft the Orbital Strike Cannon using the recipe below.
  2. Hold the cannon in your hand — a [ BOOM ] prompt will appear on your screen.
  3. Press the interact/use button (the "BOOM" action) to call down an orbital strike.
  4. Aim yourself in the direction you want the strike to land, then look at the sky and run — a massive wave of TNT will begin raining down in front of you.

Overview

The Orbital Strike Cannon is a single, devastating weapon item. Wielding it and using it summons an enormous orbital bombardment of TNT centered a short distance in front of you, launched from high above. It's built for large-scale destruction, terrain clearing, or spectacle rather than everyday combat.

What It Adds

  • Orbital Strike Cannon — a rare, glowing sword-like item with a special "BOOM" action.
  • A scripted orbital strike ability that spawns TNT in expanding rings, raining down from the sky.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Orbital Strike Cannon at a crafting table using TNT, diamonds, gold ingots, a redstone block, and a stick:

How To Use

  • Equip the cannon in your hand. While holding it, an on-screen prompt reminds you it's ready to fire.
  • Trigger the BOOM action (the item's use/interact input) to launch the strike.
  • The strike point is calculated from where you're looking, roughly 7 blocks ahead and above you, then TNT begins falling from high overhead.
  • Once triggered, TNT spawns in waves over several seconds — you'll see progress updates on your action bar as the payload deploys (in increments up to the full 1,000,000 TNT count).
  • While a strike is still deploying, using the cannon again will show a "reloading" message — you must wait for the current strike to finish and for the cannon's cooldown to pass before firing again.
  • Get clear of the target area immediately after firing — the resulting explosion is catastrophic and will destroy terrain, structures, and anything caught inside the blast radius.

Abilities And Mechanics

  • Massive TNT Payload: Each activation spawns up to 1,000,000 TNT entities, arranged in concentric rings that shrink in radius as they fall, creating a swirling, layered bombardment pattern roughly 240 blocks wide at its outer edge.
  • Cooldown: After firing, the cannon needs about 8 seconds before it can be used again.
  • Durability: The cannon has limited durability and has a chance to take damage each time it's used. It can be repaired with iron ingots (moderate repair) or TNT (major repair).
  • Enchantable: The cannon can accept enchantments compatible with bow-type items.
  • Glowing Effect: The item has a permanent enchantment glint, marking it as a special, rare weapon.

Progression And Strategy

  • Because ammunition costs are entirely handled by the ability itself (no TNT is consumed from your inventory), the cannon is a reusable, high-impact tool once crafted — the main limiting factor is its cooldown and durability.
  • Use it away from anything you don't want destroyed; the blast radius and TNT spread are large enough to level entire builds or reshape terrain.
  • Keep spare iron ingots or TNT on hand to repair the cannon between uses, since durability wears down with each activation.
  • Consider the 8-second cooldown when planning strikes — firing again too soon will simply show a reload message instead of launching a new payload.
