Quickstart

1. Gather black dye, books, and soul sand from your world.
2. Craft the tome at a crafting table using the recipe below.
3. Place the tome anywhere in your inventory — its passive effects activate immediately.
4. Right-click or tap while holding the tome to fire a dark projectile.

Overview

The Necromancer Peace Tome is a dark spellbook bearing a skull-emblazoned cover. It serves a dual purpose: a passive aura of protection and pacification while simply carried, and an active ranged attack when used directly. The tome is indestructible — it never breaks, loses durability, or gets consumed on use.

The tome has a magical glint and is found in the Equipment tab of the creative inventory.

Abilities And Mechanics

Passive Effects (inventory carry)

As long as the tome sits anywhere in your inventory, two effects are active at all times:

• Resistance — reduces incoming damage, making you noticeably tougher in combat.
• Mob Pacification — nearby hostile mobs are pacified and will not attack you. This aura refreshes roughly once per second.

Active Ability (use/right-click)

Holding the tome and using it launches a weak dark projectile in the direction you are looking. The projectile travels at low speed, making it best suited for close-to-medium range. After firing, a short 1-second cooldown applies before you can fire again. The tome is never consumed and remains in your inventory indefinitely.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the tome at a Crafting Table with black dye, books, and soul sand. The recipe auto-unlocks once you have any of the required materials in your inventory.

All three ingredient types are obtainable in Survival without special tools:

• Black dye — crafted from ink sacs (squid drops) or wither roses.
• Books — crafted from paper and leather.
• Soul Sand — found naturally in the Nether.

Progression And Strategy

• Early exploration: Craft the tome as soon as you can reach the Nether for soul sand. The passive Resistance and pacification aura dramatically reduce the danger of caves and surface encounters.
• Hands-free protection: You do not need to hold the tome for its passive effects to work — keep it in any inventory slot and stay protected while using other tools or weapons.
• Combat role: The active projectile deals light damage and is best used to soften targets or distract mobs rather than as a primary weapon. Pair it with a strong melee weapon for best results.
• Permanent investment: Because the tome never breaks or disappears, crafting one is a one-time cost that pays off for the rest of your playthrough.
