Nebula

Quickstart

• In Creative mode, find the Nebula Spawn Egg and use it in the End.
• With commands enabled, summon it in the End with /summon com_nebula_eyamn3xi:mycustom ~ ~ ~. It despawns if summoned outside the End.
• To bring it down, get close behind it near its tail and land eight melee hits. Its propeller will fail, then Nebula will dive and crash. Keep clear of the impact.

Overview

Nebula is a colossal flying whale that hunts players in the End. It spots visible players from a distance, pursues them through the air, and can damage nearby builds as it flies. Its propeller is its weak point: ordinary attacks cannot hurt it, but hitting the tail from behind disables it.

What It Adds

• Nebula, a large, hostile End mob with 1,200 health.
• A Nebula Spawn Egg for spawning it in Creative mode.
• A crash sequence with a damaging shockwave and loot.

How To Use

Nebula can spawn naturally in the End, alone, between Y=64 and Y=120. You can also spawn it with its egg or the command above.

To disable it, approach from directly behind, close to the propeller, and hit it with a melee attack eight times. Hits from the front or sides do not count. Nebula is otherwise invulnerable, so attacks will not lower its health.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no crafting recipes for Nebula or its spawn egg. Find Nebula in the End or use its spawn egg in Creative mode.

When Nebula crashes and dies, it drops 8–16 purpur blocks, 4–12 redstone, and 1–3 dispensers. A player-kill loot roll can also yield 1–2 wind charges; Looting improves the chance.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Hunting: Nebula pursues visible players and attacks at close range. Its strike deals 18 damage and knocks the target back.
• Propeller shutdown: Eight melee hits from behind disable the propeller. Nebula slows and glides before beginning its dive.
• Crash: On impact, Nebula creates a shockwave that damages and knocks back nearby entities, then dies.
• Destruction: While flying and when it crashes, Nebula can destroy nearby Purpur and End blocks, oak structures, chests, brewing stands, and dragon heads.

Progression And Strategy

Fight it away from valuable builds: both its flight and crash can wreck parts of the surrounding area. Stay clear of its close-range attacks, circle behind it to reach the propeller, and move away once it starts its final dive.
