More Swords

Quickstart

1. Open your inventory and navigate to the More Swords! creative tab, or craft any sword using the recipes below.
2. The easiest starting sword is the Obsidian Sword — craft it with two Obsidian blocks and a Stick.
3. Hold the sword and left-click to attack normally. Right-click (or hold right-click) to trigger that sword's special ability.
4. For a quick power trip, craft the Dragon Slayer and right-click to unleash its devastating buffs.

Overview

More Swords adds ten new swords to Minecraft, each crafted from themed materials and carrying a unique special ability. Every sword appears in the dedicated More Swords! creative tab and displays its own handheld icon in your inventory. Swords are used just like vanilla swords — left-click attacks, right-click activates.

Abilities And Mechanics

Controls

• Left-click — Standard melee attack dealing the sword's listed damage.
• Right-click / Hold right-click — Activates the sword's special power.

Obsidian Sword & Concrete Sword Pure melee weapons with no special ability. The Obsidian Sword's 14 damage makes it a strong early upgrade.

Redstone Sword Right-clicking powers redstone components in the blocks around you. Holding it in your hand continuously toggles nearby levers, making it useful for redstone builds as well as combat.

Emerald Sword Hits for 10 base damage. On right-click, it delivers an additional 20 damage burst on top of the standard attack.

Ender Sword Right-clicking teleports you ~12 blocks in the direction you are looking — similar to an Ender Pearl, but instant and reusable. Each teleport consumes a small amount of durability.

Fire Sword Strikes apply fire damage and inflict Poison and Blindness on the target, softening them up for follow-up attacks.

TNT Sword Right-click triggers an explosion centred on the target or near you. The explosion deals damage and knockback but does not destroy terrain, making it safe to use in your base.

Shulker Sword Hits apply Levitation to enemies, sending them into the air, plus sustained damage over time — mirroring the shulker mob's signature attack.

Judgement Sword Right-clicking calls a lightning strike, dealing massive damage. The base attack damage is extraordinarily high, making this one of the most powerful offensive tools in the mod.

Dragon Slayer The ultimate sword. At 100 base damage, it devastates almost anything in a single hit. Right-clicking also grants you powerful temporary buff effects, turning you into a short-term juggernaut. Requires Dragon's Breath, Netherite Ingots, and a Stick to craft.

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: The Obsidian Sword is accessible as soon as you have a Nether portal and some obsidian — its 14 damage beats iron and gold handily.
• Mid game: The Fire Sword (Blaze Rod + Magma Block) is a natural Nether upgrade, and the Ender Sword gives you burst mobility for escaping or repositioning.
• Late game: Gather Shulker Shells from End Cities for the Shulker Sword, or combine a Nether Star, Totems of Undying, and Netherite for the Judgement Sword.
• End game: The Dragon Slayer demands Dragon's Breath — only available after defeating the Ender Dragon — and Netherite Ingots, cementing it as the final reward sword.
• Use the TNT Sword freely in any environment; its explosions are purely combat-focused and won't grief your builds.
• The Redstone Sword doubles as a tool — keep it on hand in redstone contraptions to remotely activate components without button infrastructure.
