Molten Stone Shrine
Quickstart
- Open the Creative inventory and take the Structure Wand from the Tools tab.
- Travel to an open building site. The shrine is tall and needs clear space above and around its origin.
- Face the direction you want the shrine oriented.
- Right-click with the Structure Wand. It launches a projectile in the direction you are looking.
- When the projectile strikes a block, the shrine is assembled at the adjacent position. Watch the stone pieces spiral into place before the completed structure appears.
The wand has a cooldown of about 3 seconds. You can also build the shrine directly with:
/structure build molten_stone_shrine
Overview
Molten Stone Shrine adds a single volcanic-temple structure that you can generate on demand. The compact shrine combines:
- Gray stone-brick and carved-stone construction
- Thick, stepped outer walls
- Recessed openings and dark interior spaces
- Raised platforms
- Patterned stone flooring
- Vertical channels filled with glowing lava- or fire-like details
The shrine is primarily a decorative landmark, temple, arena, or focal point for a volcanic build.
What It Adds
| Content | Description |

| Molten Stone Shrine | A rugged stone structure with molten volcanic detailing |
| Structure Wand | A Creative-mode tool that launches a shrine-building projectile |
| Structure commands | Commands for listing and placing the available structure at different scales |
| Construction animation | Blocks fly in from around the build site before the shrine is finalized |
How To Use
Structure Wand
Take the Structure Wand from the Creative Tools tab and right-click to use it.
- The wand launches a visible projectile.
- The projectile follows your aim and builds the shrine when it hits a block.
- Aim at the top or side of a block to control where the shrine begins.
- The shrine uses your horizontal facing when it is created.
- The wand does not need a crafting recipe.
- A cooldown prevents repeated use immediately after firing.
Choose a clear location before firing. Existing terrain and nearby builds may be occupied by the generated structure.
Structure Commands
Use /structure list to display the available structure names.
Build the shrine at its full size with:
/structure build molten_stone_shrine
You can request a target size from 16 to 256 blocks:
/structure build molten_stone_shrine <size>
For example:
/structure build molten_stone_shrine 64
The size applies to the shrine's largest dimension. Smaller values scale the shrine down, while a value larger than the shrine's full size does not enlarge it. Command placement starts at your current block position and uses your current horizontal facing.
Crafting And Obtaining
There is no crafting recipe for the shrine or the Structure Wand.
- Obtain the Structure Wand from the Creative inventory's Tools tab.
- Generate the shrine with the wand or the
/structure buildcommand. - The projectile used by the wand is created automatically when the wand is activated; it is not required as a separate crafting ingredient.
Abilities And Mechanics
Orientation
The shrine is rotated according to the player's horizontal facing when it is placed. Face the desired direction before firing the wand or running the build command.
Scaling
The command supports scaled versions of the shrine. Scaling preserves the overall temple shape while making the structure more suitable for different building sites.
The Structure Wand automatically uses the shrine's full available size, up to its built-in target limit.
Construction Effects
Placement is presented as an animated assembly:
- Colored stone-like pieces appear around the target area.
- The pieces spiral inward toward their final positions.
- Particles surround the construction site.
- The temporary pieces disappear and the completed shrine remains.
Allow the animation to finish before judging the final placement.
Shrine Interaction
The shrine has no documented inventory, crafting station, or activation sequence. Its main function is to provide a ready-made volcanic temple structure for exploration and decoration.
Progression And Strategy
The shrine is available immediately in Creative mode, with no staged unlocks or upgrade path.
For the best results:
- Place it on open ground or a prepared stone platform.
- Leave room above the shrine for its vertical walls and molten channels.
- Use
/structure build molten_stone_shrine <size>to fit it into an existing settlement or build scene. - Use the wand when you want the dramatic construction animation.
- Build several shrines with different orientations to create a temple complex, ritual grounds, or volcanic outpost.
