Minefort

v1MC Bedrock

Description

Recruit warrior NPCs, arm them, and lead a battle-ready troop.

Mod Wiki

Minefort

Quickstart

  1. Find or spawn a Warrior — Bad Warrior, Good Warrior, or Great Warrior — using their spawn eggs, or wait for them to appear naturally in dark monster-spawnable areas.
  2. Walk up to a Warrior and interact with it (use the interact button/right-click on Bedrock touch or PC). If it has no owner yet, it joins you as a troop member.
  3. Craft it a weapon — an A Scoped Ak 12 or a Grenade — and drop the item near the Warrior. It will automatically pick it up and equip it.
  4. Run the command /scriptevent com_minefort_pg7ymzyc:attack to order all your nearby troops to attack. Interact with a Warrior again to call it back off attack mode and have it follow you.
  5. Keep exploring — troops follow you around the world, defend you from nearby threats, and can be re-armed at any time by dropping new gear near them.

Overview

Minefort turns the world into your personal battlefield. Scattered through dark areas are three kinds of Warrior NPCs waiting to be recruited. Once claimed, a Warrior becomes a loyal troop member: it follows you across dimensions, can be equipped with weapons you craft, and will fight on command. Build up a small squad, gear them for combat, and order them into battle whenever danger — or opportunity — arises.

What It Adds

Warrior Troops

WarriorHealthNotes
Bad Warrior24Weakest of the three, still a capable recruit
Good Warrior32Sturdier all-rounder
Great Warrior42Toughest and most durable troop

All three Warriors look and move like humanoid fighters, wander and look around when idle, and can be recruited, armed, and commanded the same way. Each has its own spawn egg for summoning them directly.

Weapons

ItemRole
A Scoped Ak 12A hand-held weapon with high damage and heavy durability — equip it on a troop or wield it yourself
GrenadeA throwable explosive; when held it can also be thrown by hand, and equipped Warriors will lob it at enemies

How To Use

  • Recruiting: Approach an unowned Warrior and interact with it. It becomes your troop and will begin following you. You'll see a confirmation message when this happens.
  • Following: Owned Warriors that aren't in attack mode automatically stay near you, teleporting closer if they fall too far behind.
  • Arming: Craft an A Scoped Ak 12 or a Grenade, then simply drop it on the ground near your Warrior. It will pick the item up, equip it, and play a chime sound to confirm the gear was accepted.
  • Attacking: Use /scriptevent com_minefort_pg7ymzyc:attack to send all of your nearby troops into attack mode. They'll seek out and strike hostile targets within range, using grenades if they're carrying one, or melee strikes otherwise.
  • Recalling: Interact with an attacking Warrior you own again to take it off attack mode and have it resume following you.
  • Throwing grenades yourself: Hold a Grenade and use it to lob it forward — it detaches from your hand and explodes shortly after landing.
  • Ownership: Each Warrior can only serve one player. Trying to interact with a Warrior owned by someone else will tell you who it already serves.

Crafting And Obtaining

Warriors can be found spawning naturally in dark, monster-eligible areas (often in small groups), or summoned instantly with their spawn eggs. Weapons are crafted at a crafting table:

Abilities And Mechanics

  • Loot: Defeated Warriors drop rotten flesh, and occasionally rarer drops like iron ingots, carrots, or potatoes.
  • Combat behavior: When ordered to attack, Warriors scan for nearby hostile or neutral targets (ignoring other Warriors, players, dropped items, and TNT) and engage them — melee strikes normally, or a thrown grenade if one is equipped.
  • Gear pickup range: Warriors will only notice and equip dropped items that land close to them, so bring the gear directly to your troop rather than dropping it far away.
  • Persistence: Your troop stays assigned to you across sessions and dimensions as long as the Warriors remain alive and nearby.

Progression And Strategy

Start by recruiting a Bad Warrior or two while gathering iron for weapons — even a lightly-armed troop can help fend off early threats. As you gather more iron and TNT, arm your troops with Scoped AK-12s for consistent ranged-style melee damage, or Grenades for area damage against groups of enemies. Recruiting Great Warriors gives you the toughest frontline fighters, letting you build a small, durable squad that can escort you through dangerous areas, clear out hostile mobs, or hold a defensive position while you build or mine.
