Minecraft WWDC26 Event

Quickstart

1. Join the world — on your very first spawn you automatically receive one free WWDC26 Event Bulletin. A welcome message and title screen greet you.
2. Use the Event Bulletin (right-click / tap) to open the main menu.
3. From the menu, enlist in either the Overworld Alliance or the Nether Legion.
4. Go kill hostile mobs — each kill earns war points for you and your faction. Watch the action bar at the bottom of your screen for live scores.
5. Every 5 personal points you automatically receive a Great War Medal.
6. If you ever lose or need a second Bulletin, craft one at a Crafting Table (see recipe below).

Overview

Minecraft WWDC26 Event turns your world into a live faction war server. Two systems run simultaneously:

• Event Bulletin feed — a rotating, server-wide broadcast system that periodically announces modpack news and war updates to all players.
• The Great Minecraft War — a persistent faction conflict between the Overworld Alliance and the Nether Legion. Players earn points by slaying hostile mobs, and the first faction to reach 100 points wins the season.

All scores, medals, faction totals, and the current season number are saved and survive server restarts.

How To Use

The Event Bulletin Menu

Use the Event Bulletin in your hand to open the main hub. From here you can:

• Read modpack updates — a feed of event announcements and news posts.
• Enlist in a faction — choose Overworld Alliance or Nether Legion. You can only be on one side at a time.
• Check war progress — view faction totals, your personal points, and the current season.
• Trigger a broadcast — send the current update post to all online players (subject to a personal cooldown of 2 minutes between uses).

Live HUD

Once you have enlisted, your action bar continuously displays:

• Current season number
• Your faction name
• Your personal war points
• How many points until your next Great War Medal
• Both faction totals (Alliance vs. Nether Legion)

Server Broadcasts

Every 5 minutes the server automatically broadcasts a rotating event update message to all players. New players also receive a welcome broadcast and title screen on their very first join.

Crafting And Obtaining

Free starter: Every new player receives one Event Bulletin automatically on their first spawn.

Crafting: Additional Event Bulletins can be crafted at a Crafting Table:

(Requires Copper Ingots, Redstone, Paper, and a Compass.)

Great War Medals cannot be crafted — they are earned exclusively through combat.

Abilities And Mechanics

Earning War Points

Kill hostile mobs while enlisted to earn points for yourself and your faction. Higher-tier mobs award more points:

Points are added to both your personal total and your faction's running total.

If you kill a qualifying mob while not enlisted, you receive a reminder to enlist — the kill does not count.

Great War Medals

For every 5 personal war points accumulated, one Great War Medal is automatically added to your inventory. Medals are purely collectible — they represent your contribution to the war effort.

Winning a Season

The first faction whose total reaches 100 points wins the current season. When this happens:

• A victory broadcast goes out to all online players.
• Online members of the winning faction are rewarded.
• The war resets and the season number increments — all faction totals start fresh for the next campaign.

Personal points and claimed medals from previous seasons remain on your record.

Progression And Strategy

• Enlist early. Kills before enlisting earn nothing for your faction.
• Hunt mini-bosses and bosses. Wardens, Withers, and Ender Dragons award 10–15 points each — a single boss kill can dramatically shift the faction balance.
• Coordinate with teammates. Faction totals are shared; the more enlisted players actively fighting, the faster your side climbs toward 100.
• Watch the action bar. The live HUD shows both faction totals at a glance, so you always know how close the war is to ending.
• Season resets are fresh starts. Faction totals reset each season, so even a trailing faction can rally and win the next campaign.
