Quickstart

1. Craft an Azoz Pulse Blaster with and make ammunition with . You can also craft ammunition from Azoz Shards with .
2. Craft an Azoz Signal Beacon with . Select it and use it where you want the trial arena centered; use the beacon rather than placing it. Choose an open area so you have room to fight.
3. Keep ammunition in your inventory or offhand, equip the blaster, aim, and hold your Use control to fire. Release to stop.
4. Defeat all three waves to earn 3 Azoz Shards and 8 XP.

Overview

The mod centers on the Azoz Trial: activate a beacon to face successive waves of vanilla enemies. The Azoz Pulse Blaster provides a rapid, long-range weapon for the challenge, and trial rewards can be used to craft more ammunition.

How To Use

Start a trial

Use the Azoz Signal Beacon to start a trial centered on your location. The first wave arrives after about 2 seconds. Action-bar messages show the upcoming wave, remaining enemies, and trial outcome.

The trial has three waves:

1. Three zombies
2. Two zombies and two skeletons
3. Two zombies, two skeletons, and one spider

Clear each wave to bring on the next; later waves begin after a short pause. Stay in the same dimension and within 64 blocks of the starting point. Dying or leaving that area ends the trial. You cannot start another trial while you already have one active, or while another trial is active within 24 blocks.

Fire the blaster

Hold Use while the Azoz Pulse Blaster is equipped to fire automatically; release to stop. The blaster fires about five times per second, dealing 5 damage per shot at up to 36 blocks. Aim at a target and keep a clear line of sight: blocks stop the beam.

Azoz Signal Beacon

A clear trial awards 3 Azoz Shards and 8 XP. If your inventory is full, the shard reward drops at your location.

Abilities And Mechanics

• The blaster’s pulse beam hits instantly along your aim and stops at the first intervening block or target.
• Keep ammunition available in your inventory or offhand when using the blaster.
• Trial enemies spawn around the beacon’s starting location. Keep that area open enough to move and fight.

Progression And Strategy

Bring ammunition before activating the beacon, then use the blaster to handle enemies at range. Watch the action-bar updates between waves and stay close to the starting point. Save the shards from completed trials to craft additional magazines.
