Description
This mod adds eight new hostile Overworld creatures—including Ember Zombie, Crystal Spider, Frost Skeleton, Storm Creeper, Bog Zombie, Obsidian Skeleton, Gale Spider, and the new Corrupted Enderman—each with unique looks, behaviors, and natural spawning. All mobs now drop themed loot when killed, and their spawn eggs appear in a New Mobs creative tab with crafting recipes and advancement unlocks available when you join a world; the Storm Creeper retains its hazardous stormy electric pulse for added danger. A replayable mob-hunt system accessed with /newmobs start, /newmobs check, and /newmobs cancel sends you through three escalating waves with action-bar progress, announcements, particles, and sounds, rewarding score, expanded loot, and spawn-egg prizes—now including the Corrupted Enderman as a final-wave threat and reward.

Abilities And Mechanics
Ember Zombie
Every successful hit ignites the target for 4 seconds. Wear fire-resistance or keep your distance.
Crystal Spider
On hit, applies Poison I (5 s) and Slowness I (4 s), making escape difficult while the damage ticks.
Frost Skeleton
Periodically emits a frost pulse that applies Slowness II to all players within ~6 blocks. The pulse fires roughly every 4 seconds — stay mobile.
Storm Creeper
Every ~4.5 seconds it discharges a stormy electric pulse within ~5 blocks, applying Weakness I and Slowness I, spawning electric-spark particles, and playing a thunder crack. It still explodes like a normal Creeper.
Bog Zombie
On hit, applies Poison I (5 s) and Weakness I (4 s). Its higher health and large follow range (34 blocks) make it a persistent threat.
Obsidian Skeleton
Has 8 natural armor points, making it tankier than any vanilla skeleton. Every ~6 seconds it releases a shatter pulse that applies Weakness I to players within ~5.5 blocks, accompanied by a smoke-particle burst.
Gale Spider
The fastest mob in the mod (speed 0.42). Every hit knocks the target back and applies Slowness II (3 s), disrupting your footing and making repositioning hard.
Corrupted Enderman
Actively targets players without requiring eye contact. On hit, inflicts Darkness (4 s) and Wither I (3 s), then bursts portal particles at the target. It also periodically emits a corruption pulse of reverse-portal particles while alive.

Progression And Strategy
Mob-Hunt Minigame
The mob-hunt system is a three-wave challenge that rewards score, expanded loot, and spawn-egg prizes.
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/newmobs start | Begins a hunt session anchored to your current position |
/newmobs check | Displays current wave, remaining mobs alive, and your score |
/newmobs cancel | Cancels the hunt and despawns all spawned hunt mobs |
Rules:
- Stay within 80 blocks of your starting position. Wandering too far fails the hunt.
- Survive and defeat three escalating waves. Progress is shown on the action bar.
- The Corrupted Enderman appears as a final-wave threat and is also one of the possible spawn-egg prizes upon completion.
- If you die or disconnect mid-hunt, the session ends automatically.
Tips
- Gale Spider + Storm Creeper combo is especially dangerous — the spider's knockback can push you into the creeper's electric pulse range.
- Obsidian Skeleton requires sustained damage to break through its armor; ranged attacks are recommended.
- Corrupted Enderman cannot be neutralised by simply looking away — it will always aggro on players. Potions of Slow Falling help avoid knockback from its teleport, and a Milk Bucket clears Wither quickly.
- Farm Fog Zombies and Crystal Spiders early for Slime Balls and Amethyst Shards, which are also ingredients in their own spawn-egg recipes.
- The rare Echo Shard drop from Corrupted Enderman provides an alternative to Deep Dark looting.
