Midnight German Ragers
Quickstart
- Play in a world with cheats enabled or simply wait until night falls in survival — no crafting is required.
- When the in-game time crosses into the night period, a screaming horde of Midnight German Ragers will automatically spawn around every player.
- Listen for a loud on-screen warning message and yells in German — that's your cue to grab a weapon and fight or flee.
- Want to summon one on demand? Give yourself the Midnight German Rager Spawn Egg from creative inventory and throw it on the ground, or use the entity identifier
com_midnight_german_ragers_hrsk6gp2:midnight_rager with a summon command if commands are enabled.
- Fight back — hitting a Rager may make it "apologize" to you in chat, and defeated Ragers can drop an iron axe, sometimes enchanted.
Overview
Midnight German Ragers turns nighttime into a genuine threat. Once the sun sets, screaming, furious German-speaking brutes called "Wüteriche" burst into the world in hordes, hunting down players, villagers, and iron golems alike. They taunt, they yell, and — strangely — some of them apologize after landing a hit. Once dawn breaks, the terror resets, ready to strike again the next night.
What It Adds
- Midnight German Rager — a hostile humanoid mob that resembles a raider-like brute, armed and dangerous, that only appears at night.
- Midnight German Rager Spawn Egg — a creative-mode item for manually spawning Ragers wherever you like.
- Automatic nightly horde spawning, ambient shouting, and reactive combat dialogue that make nights feel alive with chaos.
How To Use
- Surviving the night: Ragers begin appearing automatically once night starts. They actively hunt players, villagers, and iron golems within a wide radius, so keep armor and weapons ready before dark.
- Manual spawning: Use the Spawn Egg (found in the creative inventory) to place a Rager anywhere, anytime — useful for testing your defenses or setting up an arena fight.
- Interacting: Ragers are nameable and can be renamed with a name tag like other mobs. You can also "interact" with them, though they are aggressive by nature.
- Listening for events: During the night, nearby Ragers periodically yell threats in German. Occasionally, one may instead offer a bizarre compliment instead of a threat — a rare bit of comic relief amid the chaos.
- Combat quirk: If you strike a Rager, it may respond with an apologetic message in chat, expressing regret for its aggressive behavior — right before it keeps attacking anyway.
Crafting And Obtaining
There are no crafting recipes for this mod's content — Ragers appear naturally at night or can be obtained instantly via their spawn egg in creative mode. No recipe shortcodes are available for this mod.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Night-triggered hordes: As soon as time of day reaches nighttime, each player in the world triggers a horde of six Ragers spawning in a ring around them, roughly 20–28 blocks out. This only happens once per night per player.
- Population cap: Each player can have up to 12 Ragers active nearby at once; beyond that, no new hordes will spawn near them until the count drops.
- Aggression: Ragers are permanently enraged once spawned. They will target and attack players, villagers, iron golems, and even other Ragers within a 32-block sightline.
- Combat stats: Ragers have 32 health, hit hard (10 damage per attack), and move slightly faster than a normal player-speed mob. They can open doors, swim, and push through crowds.
- Ambient chatter: While near players at night, Ragers periodically shout aggressive German phrases — and, rarely, oddly friendly compliments — accompanied by yelling sound effects.
- Apology mechanic: Landing a hit on a Rager has a chance to make it reply with an apologetic chat message directed at the player it's fighting.
- Loot: Defeated Ragers may drop an iron axe, sometimes affected by looting enchantment level and occasionally further enchanted at random.
- Daytime reset: Once time of day moves past the night window, the horde-spawn trigger rearms, ready to unleash a fresh horde on players the next night.
Progression And Strategy
There is no crafting tree or item progression tied to this mod — the challenge is purely survival-based. Prepare gear before nightfall, since hordes spawn automatically and can quickly surround you if you're caught unarmed. Use open areas or chokepoints to fight Ragers safely, and keep an eye on defeated Ragers for iron axe drops that can supplement your gear. Since Ragers also target villagers and iron golems, defending a village at night can turn into an intense skirmish worth preparing for in advance.
