Quickstart

1. Craft the Lavaseed Shovel at a Smithing Table using a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, a Netherite Shovel, and a Lava Bucket:

1. Find it in the Tools and Utilities creative tab.
2. Equip it and dig any dirt-type block — seeds will drop on the ground immediately.

Overview

The Lavaseed Shovel is a single, powerful shovel that combines blistering digging speed with exceptional durability. Every time you mine a dirt-type block with it, it randomly scatters 1–3 seeds on the ground as a bonus harvest. It's the ideal tool for players who want to build large farms quickly without hunting for seeds separately.

What It Adds

A single item: the Lavaseed Shovel. It functions as a full shovel for all normal shovel-mineable blocks, but its real value comes from its seed-harvesting ability and its greatly enhanced stats compared to a standard Netherite Shovel.

Seed Harvesting

Whenever you mine one of the following dirt-type blocks, 1–3 seeds drop as item entities:

Each seed drop is chosen randomly from this pool:

• Wheat Seeds
• Beetroot Seeds
• Melon Seeds
• Pumpkin Seeds
• Torchflower Seeds
• Pitcher Pod

Tool Stats

The shovel is compatible with all Netherite-tier tool enchantments, including Efficiency, Unbreaking, and Mending.

Progression And Strategy

• Farm bootstrapping: Dig a large field of grass or dirt blocks to accumulate a diverse seed collection before placing a single crop — no need to find seeds in chests or trade for them.
• Torchflower & Pitcher Pod: These rare seeds drop from the same pool as common ones, making the shovel a practical way to obtain them without relying on Sniffer finds.
• Durability cushion: With over 6,000 uses, the shovel can clear enormous areas before needing repair, reducing the pressure to carry backup tools.
• Repair: Use a Smithing Table or an Anvil with Netherite Ingots (or apply Mending) to restore durability.
