The Lavaforge Pickaxe is a single, supremely powerful mining tool that outclasses Netherite in every measurable way. It mines faster, lasts longer, and automatically smelts every block it breaks, turning raw ores directly into ingots and saving countless furnace trips.

The pickaxe appears in the Tools & Utilities creative tab.
Simply equip the Lavaforge Pickaxe and mine as you normally would. No special keybinds or activation steps are required.
Auto-Smelting triggers on every block you break:
Blocks with no smelting recipe drop their normal items unchanged, so you never lose loot.
The recipe requires two Netherite Ingots, one Magma Block, and two Blaze Rods. Gather these materials in the Nether before crafting.
The recipe is granted automatically upon joining a world, so it will appear in your recipe book from the start.
Every block broken with the Lavaforge Pickaxe has its normal drops passed through the furnace smelting table before they land on the ground. The smelted items are spawned in place of the raw drops. Experience orbs are still awarded for the block break.
With 2,500 durability and a mining speed of 12.0, the Lavaforge Pickaxe significantly outlasts and outpaces a standard Netherite Pickaxe (2,031 durability / 9.0 speed). Its higher enchantability of 18 also makes it more receptive to enchanting.
Combine the pickaxe with Netherite Ingots in an anvil to restore durability, the same material used to repair standard Netherite tools.
