Crafting And Obtaining
Ember Petals
Break Ember Bloom plants found naturally throughout the Lava Meadows biome. They are instant-break plants, so no tool is needed.
Meadow Compass
Surround a Compass with Ember Petals:

Cooling Nectar
Combine a Honey Bottle, a Snowball, and an Ember Petal:

Lava Meadow Turf
Craft it from Dirt, a Grass Block, and an Ember Petal (yields 4):

Tip: Lava Meadow Turf also drops directly when mined with a shovel, so you can collect it from the biome naturally.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Meadow Compass — A unique single-stack item that actively tracks your heat progress during a
/lavameadows startrun. Standing on Lava Meadow Turf speeds up the compass's heat accumulation rate. - Ember Bloom — Emits a soft light (light level 6) and breaks instantly. Always drops itself as a placeable block item, or harvest it for Ember Petals in crafting.
- Lava Meadow Turf — The biome's grass-like surface block. Animals can spawn on it naturally. Mine it with a shovel. Placing it yourself (crafted) lets you build a heat-gain zone anywhere.
- Cooling Nectar — A consumable granting temporary fire resistance. Brewed from honey, snow, and the heat of an Ember Petal — a fitting antidote.
Progression And Strategy
- First visit — Use
/locate biome lava-meadows-omainvmp:lava_meadowsand travel to the biome. Gather Ember Blooms to stockpile Ember Petals. - Craft your tools — Make a Meadow Compass before starting your first run. Brew some Cooling Nectar for safety.
- Start a run — Use
/lavameadows startwhile inside or near the biome. Stay on Lava Meadow Turf as much as possible to maximise heat gain speed. - Monitor progress — Check
/lavameadows statusto see your current heat and remaining time. - Complete and repeat — Trial rewards give more Ember Petals, letting you craft more Cooling Nectar and keep attempting faster, more efficient runs. Use
/lavameadows resetif a run goes wrong and start fresh.
