Quickstart

1. Craft a Remote Landmine and a Remote Detonator. The landmine recipe produces two mines.
2. Place the mines on the ground like pressure plates. They are thin, transparent-looking, and have no collision, so entities can walk over them without triggering them.
3. Move to a safe distance and right-click the Remote Detonator.
4. Every Remote Landmine you placed detonates at once. The blast destroys the mines and can damage the surrounding area.

Overview

Landmine adds remotely controlled explosive mines and a handheld trigger. Mines do not activate when stepped on; only their owner's Remote Detonator can trigger them.

The Remote Detonator works from any distance and detonates all of your currently tracked Remote Landmines with one right-click.

What It Adds

Remote Landmines are listed in the Redstone creative category alongside the Remote Detonator.

How To Use

Placing mines

Hold Remote Landmines and place them on suitable ground surfaces. Each mine records the player who placed it.

Mines:

• Do not automatically trigger when stepped on.
• Have no collision, allowing players and mobs to walk through them.
• Remain in place until detonated or broken.
• Can be placed in groups for a larger combined blast.

Detonating mines

Hold the Remote Detonator in either hand and right-click. It detonates every Remote Landmine you placed, regardless of how far away you are.

The detonator:

• Does not require you to aim at a mine.
• Triggers all of your placed mines at once.
• Has a one-second cooldown between uses.
• Has a glowing enchantment-style visual effect.

When mines are successfully triggered, the game displays the number detonated. If you have no placed mines, it reports that there are no remote landmines to detonate.

Ownership

Only the player who placed a mine can detonate it with their Remote Detonator. Other players' mines are not included in your detonation.

Breaking a mine removes it from its owner's tracked mine list without causing an explosion.

Crafting And Obtaining

Remote Landmine

Crafting a Remote Landmine produces two mines.

The recipe uses redstone, gunpowder, a stone pressure plate, and iron ingots.

Remote Detonator

The Remote Detonator is crafted from an iron ingot, redstone, a stone button, and a redstone torch.

The crafting recipe becomes available after you obtain the required redstone torch for the detonator, and the landmine recipe becomes available after you obtain redstone.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Remote activation: Right-clicking the detonator triggers your mines without requiring line of sight or proximity.
• Group detonation: All mines you placed are activated together, making it possible to prepare a blast area in advance.
• Explosive blast: Each mine creates a powerful explosion at its own position and is then removed.
• No pressure-plate trigger: The pressure-plate appearance is part of the mine's design; walking over it does not activate it.
• Visual placement: Mines are short, non-solid objects that sit close to the ground.
• Detonation feedback: A successful activation plays a confirmation sound and displays the number of mines detonated.

Progression And Strategy

1. Gather redstone, gunpowder, iron, and the components for the two recipes.
2. Craft a Remote Detonator before deploying mines so you can trigger them.
3. Place several mines around a target area, keeping track of where you put them.
4. Retreat to a safe location and right-click the detonator.
5. Use the one-second cooldown to avoid accidental repeated activations.

Because detonation affects every mine you placed, avoid deploying mines near areas you want to preserve. Separate your minefields by player ownership when several players are using the mod, since each detonator only controls its owner's mines.
