Kryptnite Zombie Staff

Quickstart

1. Get a Kryptnite Crystal — find one in a loot chest (bastions, ancient cities, buried treasure, end cities, jungle/desert temples, strongholds, villages, woodland mansions, ruined portals, and similar valuable chests have a ~14% chance to contain 1–2 crystals), or craft/obtain the staff first in Creative mode.
2. Craft the staff using the recipe below — you need two Blaze Rods, two Netherite Ingots, and one Kryptnite Crystal:

1. Right-click while holding the staff to instantly summon five Summoned Kryptnite Zombies in a circle around you. The staff gains a 60-second cooldown and loses some durability with each use.
2. Watch your minions fight for you — they follow you when idle and attack anything that threatens you or them.

Overview

The Kryptnite Zombie Staff is a netherite-tier summoning weapon. A single right-click raises a squad of five loyal armored zombies that protect you, follow you, and vanish after one minute — sometimes leaving behind a Kryptnite Crystal as a parting gift.

How To Use

• Summon: Right-click with the staff. Five Summoned Kryptnite Zombies spawn in a ring around you.
• Cooldown: After summoning, the staff cannot be used again for 60 seconds.
• Durability: Each summon consumes durability. The staff can eventually break, so use it wisely.
• Follow: When the minions have no target, they walk toward and stay near you.
• Despawn: Minions automatically despawn after 1 minute. On death or despawn there is a small chance (~5%) to drop a Kryptnite Crystal.

Abilities And Mechanics

Summoned Kryptnite Zombie Stats

• Health: 15 hearts (30 HP)
• Armor: Full Kryptnite Iron set with a visored helmet
• Weapon: Kryptnite Dagger (cannot be dropped)
• Lifetime: 60 seconds, then automatically despawn

Combat Behavior

• Minions will not attack you or each other under any circumstances.
• They only retaliate against valid non-zombie attackers — they will not pick fights with other zombies.
• If you are attacked, nearby minions will move to defend you.
• If a minion is attacked, its allies within range will also join the fight.
• The Kryptnite Dagger does not apply any special effect on hit.

Kryptnite Crystal Drops

• When a Summoned Kryptnite Zombie despawns or is killed, there is a ~5% chance it drops one Kryptnite Crystal.
• Crystals are also found as chest loot (~14% chance for 1–2 crystals) in high-value structures: bastions, ancient cities, buried treasure, end cities, jungle and desert temples, strongholds, villages, woodland mansions, ruined portals, and similar netherite- and emerald-tier loot sources.

Crafting And Obtaining

Kryptnite Zombie Staff

Requires Kryptnite Crystals, which you can find in treasure chests throughout the world before you ever craft the staff.

Kryptnite Crystal Sources

• Loot chests in: bastions, ancient cities, buried treasure, end cities, jungle temples, desert temples, strongholds, villages, woodland mansions, ruined portals, and similar high-value structures (~14% chance, 1–2 crystals per chest).
• Rare drop (~5%) from Summoned Kryptnite Zombies when they die or despawn.

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: Explore generated structures to collect Kryptnite Crystals from chests. You only need one to craft the staff.
• Crafting: Gather two Netherite Ingots and two Blaze Rods alongside your crystal to craft the staff.
• Combat: Use the staff at the start of a tough fight. Your five minions effectively form a frontline, drawing aggro and dealing damage while you stay safe.
• Timing: Since minions last only 60 seconds and the staff has a matching cooldown, plan your summons around big encounters — don't waste them on weak enemies.
• Crystal farming: The more minions you summon, the more chances for crystal drops, giving you a slow but steady supply for crafting additional staves.
• Durability management: The staff loses durability every use. Consider enchanting it with Unbreaking or Mending to extend its life.
