Description:
.mcaddon and apply both the resource and behavior packs to your world.John Pork Apocalypse turns your Minecraft world into a relentless pig-zombie apocalypse. Two custom entities — the towering John Pork Boss and the swarming John Pork Minions — roam every dimension (Overworld, Nether, and the End), hunting players with massive health pools, punishing melee attacks, and constant regeneration. The Boss acts as a raid commander, continuously calling in reinforcements during the fight. Surviving and defeating them yields rare, high-value loot that makes the grind worthwhile.
| Entity | Health | Attack Damage | Spawn Group Size |
|---|---|---|---|
| John Pork Boss | 1,200,000 HP | 30 | 1 (rare) |
| John Pork Minion | 1,000,000 HP | 30 | 6–12 |
Both entities feature custom pig-apocalypse textures and are classified as undead monsters. They spawn in any monster-spawning biome across all three dimensions, on the surface and underground, in low-light conditions on Easy through Hard difficulty.
Spawn Eggs for both entities are available in the inventory for controlled encounters.
Every 8 seconds, both the Boss and all Minions receive a burst of Regeneration. The Boss receives a stronger amplifier than Minions. This means sustained damage output is essential — if you stop attacking, they will heal back significant HP.
While the John Pork Boss is alive, it periodically scans a 28-block radius around itself. If fewer than 20 Minions are present within that radius, it spawns up to 6 new Minions in a ring around itself every 8 seconds. This creates an escalating, raid-like encounter that grows more dangerous the longer the Boss survives.
Both entities can break wooden doors and climb obstacles, so walls and barricades offer only temporary safety.
Both entities can breathe underwater and pursue players into rivers, oceans, and underwater tunnels.
| Drop | Amount | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Netherite Ingot | 8–16 (+ Looting bonus) | Always |
| Diamond Block or Enchanted Golden Apple or Nether Star | 1 | ~2.5% chance, player/pet kill only |
| Drop | Amount | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Porkchop | 0–6 (+ Looting bonus) | Always |
| Iron Ingot or Carrot or Potato | 1 | ~2.5% chance, player/pet kill only |
Using a Looting-enchanted weapon increases both the guaranteed drop quantities and the rare drop chance.
Before engaging, fully gear up. The recommended loadout is:
Build an arena. Because Minions spawn in groups of 6–12 in the wild, and the Boss summons up to 6 more every 8 seconds, open-world encounters can quickly become unmanageable. A walled arena with elevated platforms lets you control the flow of the fight.
Kill the Minions first. As long as the Boss is alive, it will keep refilling its escort up to 20 Minions. Clearing the area around the Boss gives you brief windows to focus damage on it without being overwhelmed.
Maintain pressure. Both entities regenerate constantly. Backing off to heal gives them time to recover millions of HP. Use ranged attacks during repositioning to keep the damage flowing.
Use Looting. The rare drop table for the Boss — which includes Diamond Blocks, Enchanted Golden Apples, and Nether Stars — has a base chance of only 2.5%. A Looting III sword meaningfully improves your odds with every kill.
Farming Minions is a reliable early strategy for iron and food drops before you are strong enough to take on the Boss directly.
